“Dirty, dark, unsafe and insanely expensive, total waste of money and a terrible experience. ”

“It was alright. Doctor Larry is really good”

“El hotel es hermoso, el staff muy amable. La caminata a las cascadas debe ser un must en el intinerario.”

“Schönes Zelt mitten im Regenwald. Die Anfahrt war allerdings etwas anstrengend. Deshalb sind wir auch beide Tage dort geblieben und haben vor Ort Wanderungen gemacht oder waren am Pool. Der ist klein, aber sehr hübsch angelegt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut. Wifi nur im Hauptgebäude. ”

“Everything I did over there was amazing ! Will definitely go back .”

“Excelente Bella vista Bello lugar”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at La Vida Mountain Resort and Spa. We particularly enjoyed the evenings watching spectacular thunderstorms flashing in distant skies over other valleys while there was not a drop of rain where we were. The food was consistently very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.”

“La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated. The owners, Charles and Peter, were an absolute delight. We talked through the entire breakfast and Charles even joined us one day for breakfast. The staff was also delightful. Mauricio...

“We stayed here during a family vacation and were blown away by this beautiful property that’s located in Bajos del Toro, a truly spectacular location in central Costa Rica. William, the owner happened to be there during our visit and both he and Viktor, his business partner, were welcoming and helpful - truly lovely people. The beds were comfortable, the property was clean and well-equipped, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed drinking our coffee on the back porch overlooking the waterfall....

“This is a wonderful tico property that truly feels authentic Costa Rican. In the thick rain forest I felt very close to the earth. The breakfast is special and the owner is fabulous. I will return!”

“Outstanding experience. We arrived in San Jose and wanted to catch our breath before our 3 hour drive the next day. Chayote Lodge was exceptional. Great view, very nice restaurant on property, comfortable beds and great sheets. Chayote, the canine greeter, is delightful. Lovely!”

“La propiedad es muy hermosa. Lo único es que está en recuperación financiera por lo que no se puede esperar más de la cuenta. El pico personal es atento y servicial.”

“Un hermoso lugar para ir”

“An absolutely great place and a fantastic host! I’d love to come back anytime! Thanks for everything.”

“El desayuno fue muy rico, buen servido. Sobre todo, aunque la recepcionista, Tania, habla casi ningun de ingles, era muy paciente y dando de cabida con mis muchas preguntas, solicitaciones por informacion viajal. Gracias! L. Venditto”

“The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok...

“Helen was the perfect host - friendly, outgoing and very helpful in every matter. Communication was easy, room was clean, breakfast great, parking available”
