We had an awesome stay. We did not realize how big this resort was. I would definitely stay at Kingsland again. It offers easy parking. And it is nice and quiet where we stayed. And we had access to any other part of the resort. So it allowed us to be away from the main building, where the beach and luau were located. Because there are a lot of people staying at that location. So where we stayed, it was nice and relaxing. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within their resort. They...

We had a great 1-week stay here. We enjoyed the many features: beach, fish ponds, pool, restaurants, and the room/view was great. The hotel is beautiful, the open architecture and focus on water throughout is very unique. We visited a couple of the nearby resorts/hotels we had considered when booking the trip and it made us feel that we made the right choice, best value especially considering the price. Also, a drastic difference between the crowds we encountered at the other resorts compared...

Great experience

This place is amazing! If you're looking for a getaway from many other tourists, don't mind sharing a separate, common kitchen with some other folks, and enjoy some fantastic recommendations from your hosts, this place is for you. The suites are nicely apportioned and the hosts have thought of everything. We like to cook our own dinners in the evening as well as breakfast and this place suited us perfectly. We also hate crowds. The only crowds you'll have to deal with here are a few frogs in the...

We originally stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa village and were scheduled for 10nights. However upon arrival we were unimpressed and had a depressing feeling due to the run down nature of the hotel. It's hard to put a finger on it but felt like an old amusement park. My wife and I decided to tour other resorts. We drove to the Fairmont and we loved it. We also looked at the HapunaPrince and didn't really like it much. We switched our reservation to Fairmont and cancelled the remaining stay at the...

My 5 year old son and I spent a week at the Hilton Grand Vacation resort. For us it was a great decision. With a car, we were two minutes to the Hilton Wailkoloa resort, and had full use of their facilities with free parking. If you plan to park yourself at the Hilton Waikoloa all day, then I can see where that may be a better option for some than the Grand Vacation. We were only a few afternoons at the Waikoloa lagoon, and spent everyday exploring the island. The pool at the Grand Vacation...

Great beautiful property however, room had roaches.

Well, I found the King Kamehameha Courtyard by Marriott to be quite a decent spot for a stay, but it wasn’t without its rough edges. There by the beach, where one hopes for a bit of serenity, there were a few folks living rough, and it tugged at the mood I’d hoped to find. Now, I believe if more of us took the time, as folks have done in places like Seattle and San Francisco, where a bit of outcry led to tangible improvements, perhaps things could change here, too. By lending a hand and...

I like this hotel location and the environment. I will definitely go back again. However there are a few things that irritated me and left a bad taste to my experience. Majority of the hotel staff were very friendly and nice. It’s just only a handful that I met weren’t that polite or sincere. Management should monitor and observe to correct or replace those staff. (They weren’t in just one area or department, they from parking, reception, etc) On the other hand, there were helpful and very...

Mango Sunset is situated on a hill in a lovely coffee plantation. It’s 15 or 20 minutes from town. The sunsets are amazing and breakfast in the morning with French pressed coffee is delicious! Heidi (host) makes her own sourdough! She and husband Dan are naturals at hospitality.

Let’s start off with check in…it’s easy. Your reservation is held for you and upgrades are offered when available for purchase. A great offer. You are at an older hotel…get over it. It’s beautiful and is walkable to downtown Kailua. ABC is across the street. You will have one of three towers. The lagoon, Alii and the Bay. The pool is amazing and the view is what you are paying for, totally awesome. Parking: easy. Your room key gets you in and out. It’s self parking. Your room will...

we could walk to our snorkeling tour and had a great view of the water

The grounds and swimming pools are beautiful and located on a bay that is fabulous for snorkeling. We stayed in the Vacation Club part of the hotel; they provide washer/dryer and fridge, as well as recycling bins in our room.

I came here 12 years ago and visited again recently. It's a fantastic resort, and I will be back again. We like the ocean tower for the views and the adult pool for peace and quiet. Walking through the whole resort is very easy, does not take much time, and is very scenic. Facilities are clean and well cared for. Nature is everywhere around you, and there is something for everyone, even young kids. Everything was 5 stars except the housekeeping service, which could have been better. Multiple...

This was the most amazing place! The Place left me speechless and breathless. It was beautiful, charming and very comfortable. I wish I had stayed my whole trip at this place!!!! Michael was a very gracious host and the food he prepared was delicious. I give this place 10 stars!!

Good location. Great and friendly staff.

Great location to all that Ali’i Drive has to offer.

Loved the profoundly peaceful location, could hike to and swim under beautiful waterfall on site. Only sounds were of nature. 4 miles from funky town of Hilo, which we also really liked. Perfect get-away-from-tourist-crowds Inn. Provides breakfast- could be improved with Gluten-free dairy-free breakfast option but good fresh fruit, waffles, egg souffle. Friendly staff but not overly so as in B&B where you have to make convo with owners. At night amazing views of stars, darkest sky I have ever...

We could not have been more pleased with Aston Kona by the Sea. We had Unit 106 which was 2 bed and 2 bath. There was a sofa bed also (a little sloped but livable). The unit was completely perfect for our needs. First, we had a fantastic view of the ocean from our lanai. There were sliding doors in the living room and master bedroom. This was great because you could go out on the lanai from the master and not disturb someone sleeping on the sofa bed. The kitchen was updated and equipped...
