"We loved the cleanliness, location, and overall vibe of the hotel. Super cute and right on the beach. Appreciate that they have free parking for guests, and that they are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again."

"It was a strange set up but it worked great for us. We didn’t see staff for more than a few minutes the entire week stay. No frills, for sure, but that helps keep the price down. Location is fantastic. Very close to the beach and we even had a little bit of a view! Parking lot gets full but we always managed to get parking. My kids loved the pool. Kitchen was well stocked. Having a clothes line to dry our stuff would’ve been a huge help. We used the balcony but the birds made a mess of some things. Overall everything was very clean but all of the towels provided had someone’s hair on them. Even when they were replaced during the week, the new ones also had hair."

Aston Kaanapali Shores

"This was our second trip to Maui and our second stay at the Aston, so we knew exactly what to expect. For us, the property is a great fit. It isn't overly fancy or ultra-modern; instead, it has a relaxed, retro island vibe that we enjoy. Our stay went smoothly from check-in to check-out with no surprises. We stayed in a one-bedroom, one-bath condo-style unit with a full kitchen. Since we planned to host our adult children, their spouses, and our grandchildren several times during the trip, the space worked perfectly. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that some areas could use updating. However, the property is well maintained, and the staff were terrific throughout our stay. We especially enjoy the separate adult and family pools, along with the direct beach access. It provides a nice balance between relaxation and family activities. We ate at the restaurant several times. The food was consistently good, and the prices were reasonable for on-property dining, making it a practical option for larger families. Be prepared for resort and parking fees at checkout, but we found both to be reasonable. If you're not looking for a luxury five-star resort and simply want a peaceful, family-friendly place to enjoy Maui, this property is hard to beat on the north side of the island. We will definitely return. The location is in one of our favorite areas of Maui and continues to provide exactly the experience we're looking for."

Aston Mahana at Kaanapali

"We went for their suite with the balcony and it was waaayyy worth the view! The views in the morning and at night were incredible, we saw turtles, pods of dolphins, and even manta-rays almost every day! The only three negatives: if you need service in the rooms, its a hotel fee. We had a king bed for the room and if that bed is a king bed, im the emperor of Istanbul. We're not even big people and we wondered how that works for people bigger than us. The bed wasnt even a queen, but we made it work. On our last night there, the AC was shut down. So... sleeping in a room that's 80 degrees or higher for what we paid for without any compisation or even a FAN made our last night pretty negative. Again, the views: AMAZING. Tiny beds, negative. The hotel not making anything better by having no AC for the rooms, pretty weak."
