"My partner and I booked the Archer Hotel Napa about three hours before arriving for a spontaneous overnight trip. We were happy to find something available downtown, and overall, the hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and in a great location. The staff was also friendly and helpful.
We chose the Archer partly because of the rooftop fire pits and what appeared to be a pool. Unfortunately, when we went upstairs, a private event had completely blocked access to the fire pit area, so we weren’t able to enjoy it. The “pool” was also a surprise, it’s really more of a very shallow water feature where you can dip your feet. It’s probably great for lounging and tanning, but don’t expect to swim.
We also had an issue with our valet-parked vehicle. When we picked it up the next morning, there was a distinct smell inside that wasn’t there when we dropped it off. I spoke with the manager, Jose, who assured me he would look into it and follow up, but unfortunately, I never heard back.
The hotel itself is lovely, and I would consider staying again. However, if you’re booking specifically for the rooftop amenities, I recommend calling ahead to confirm they’re available. Also, keep expectations realistic regarding the “pool” and be mindful when using valet."
