"The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s great that it’s connected to the mall, but you still need to go outside to access another part of the mall. I liked the fact that everything around was in a walkable distance and they also offer a free shuttle bus to the airport."

"We only stayed one night but the suite was a mini apartment. Perfect for long stays or just more room for short stays. Front desk staff was very helpful."

We were pleased to stay at the Chateau Nova hotel. Very clean, modern, nice staff. We stayed one night at The Exporer, and didn't like it at all. Chateau is way better!!

Pretty good place to stay. It does get a bit noisy around two a.m. since people come back from seeing the aurora, but if you’re part of that crowd or don’t mind, it’s okay. The owner is quite helpful and accommodating, and sets clear rules for the house. You share the bathroom with other people, but it mainly remains clean.
The malls are around ten minutes away by foot, and it’s easy to get to. Meals aren’t provided, but you can bring food in yourself. Overall, I’d say it’s more than worth it...

The Explorer had all the perks you would want at an upscale hotel: cozy bed and pillows, cleanliness, outlets for charging tech, good tv, Starbucks coffee in room, convenient shuttle, etc... However, I believe the biggest benefit of the Explorer is its view! Seeing the lake, city, and beyond from the warmth of my room was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. The restaurant had an interesting menu, but they did not take walk-ups the night we wanted to try it. (Or we didn’t look upscale enough...
