"This was my second stay at the Reef Strand. Last year I was there before the remodel. The place has a great new look and I'd call it a gem. Owner and most of the staff go out of their way to make things run smoothly. If your looking for a loud party haven it's not there. At the Reef you'll find peace and relaxation. However, if you want to stay up all night and drink till the sun comes up the staff will be gladly tuk tuk you to where the nights run into the day. Rates are reasonable considering pricing in the other 3 and 3 1/2 star hotels and all the meals I've eating there were very good. So if your going to EL NIdo it's well worth checking in, you'll prob be back for a second or third time like me. "

I do not recommend Lameza restaurant inside the resort, the food was not tasteful, it did not at all resemble Filipino food which was disappointing because we were really looking forward to having a delicious dinner. There was 8 of us total, not sure if it's our taste buds of knowing the authentic taste of Filipino food but whatever they serve was not it.
