"I needed to make a reservation for one night at very short notice and ended up staying at the Generaator. It turned out to be a lucky find. The immediate surroundings of the hotel were not great, but once inside everything was fresh and bright.The room was very clean and seemed to have been redecorated fairly recently. One of the other things I appreciated was the shower having a proper little wall at the base to prevent water from filling the rest of the bathroom. I found the bed comfortable as I prefer a firm matress. It was also great to have a smart TV that allowed me to watch one of the 24 hour news channels on YouTube. I would also like to thank the very helpful and welcoming member of staff who dealt with me and allowed me to check in earlier and helped me with a note to explain I needed to change a ticket. Personally I think this would be a particularly good place to stay if you had a flight, train or bus the next day. It is close enough to the main station and central bus station and right next to a convenient metro stop. Equally, it would also provide a convenient base in the centre of Sofia for a longer visit."
