“The first thing I noticed was how filthy the rugs are in the halls. Filthy!!!!! The rooms are clean but nasty rugs also. This hotel obviously has a high volume of people going through it. The restaurant bar does a big business. The people who work there are very nice. But when I went out the back door past the kitchen, it also struck me as dirty. “Was a very nice stay, the shower was excellent, Good pressure, beds were comfortable. It’s a small thing but they have lovely toilet paper.”

“The staff is extremely helpful, pleasant and polite. The inn and its grounds are immaculately maintained. The breakfast served at the time of your choosing was delicious and what a treat to savor it on the private patio with the birds singing and the lovely manicured grounds to enjoy. The inn is next door to the Kingsbrae Gardens and there is a gate to enter just to the right of the front door. I enjoyed the well appointed room, the whirlpool tub and the beautiful library and living room areas....

“Our room was comfortable, the shared kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed a swim in the nearby beautiful lake. I also made use of the extensive fitness area; we played a game of pool. This would be an excellent venue for a family reunion!”

“Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was vintage as advertised , I would have liked the bathroom mirror over the sink . But the water for the shower was hot as soon as I turned it on. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful and told us if we needed anything just let her know and they would take care of the issue . I would recommend this Hotel,the rooms have ave beautiful views of the Bay looking over to Canada.”

“We chose St. Andrews to rest on our way to Prince Edward Island. St. Andrews itself was a great discovery! We enjoyed our full day here… Could’ve been two days or more. Managers at the Montague Rose were very helpful in orienting us as to what to do. Charming B&B!!!”

“Great location, large clean room, great bed. I would not stay anywhere else in St. Andrews. The restaurant and bar are also excellent. Beautiful chairs by the water to sit and view the sunset.”

“This was the perfect bed and breakfast— clean, quaint, comfortable and just a block to Water Street where there are great restaurants, shopping and the Wharf. I would definitely stay at the Inn on Frederick if I get the chance to come back to precious Saint Andrews.”
