“Run down and overpriced - requesting an early check in for even just 1 oclock when check out is at 11 forget it - you can only check in at 3 - which is really late considering most check ins are at 2 over the whole island - the restaurant is over priced - and we literally saw one of their drop off men taking a leak on the side of the car where car drop offs are - oh and if your paying premium dollar a hot shower and NOT a luke warm shower is to be expected. “Plusses: comfy bed, large rooms, good snorkelling at low tide. Rock Pool bar for evening drinks is a cool spot. Close to the giant clam sanctuary and swimming with turtles! We biked to the clam/turtle location (4km) from RTP using the resort bikes. String band and buffet dinner night is a must do! Highly recommend. The matriarch of RTP is soooo lovely. We loved our chats with her and she made us feel like valued customers! Gorgeous lady. The daily updates sheet you get each morning is absolutely...

“Beautiful experience”

“We stayed in 3 resorts in Samoa during our holiday. Amoa was our favourite. This is largely due to the smaller nature of it, the staff and it just had a very relaxing vibe in general. They had daily resort activities. Since we only stayed one night we missed out on them. They had Siva dance class and flax weaving as a couple of examples. The rooms were spacious. We loved the outdoor shower! The food was excellent. The Takoyaki - OMG so delish! The staff were just amazing and the welcome drink...

“The staff treated everyone with a true spirit of love and giving attitude, regardless of the amount of guests who were there at any given time. The staff makes the beauty of the resort come alive. It was a very great and relaxing time. If you're going there to watch TV, you might be disappointed because depending on where your room is located, you may not have a good enough internet connection for service. We would absolutely stay there again.”

“Shared bathroom facilities and cold showers only with no hook or shelf to hang anything. Great access to beach but limited options to do when weather is poor. Some games would be great. Lovely staff. Breakfast and dinner is included and changed up daily. Really enjoyed the food. Room basic but adequate. Main deck area dated and needs a clean.”

“It is a great place to spend your vacation. We would stay here again if we come to Samoa. However, one recommended improvement is to add mosquitos repellent devices to the rooms and restaurant”

“I thought Luna, her staff and Koko the cat were amazing. It was a beautiful resort with excellent service. Was there with my very large family occupying several rooms. Highly recommend Le Manumea and its Fiafia night to everyone! One feature that stood out was the bath and toilet area ... very unique experience.”

“Really enjoyed our stay at Va-I-Moana. A "resort feel" sort of stay, beach out the front with some reef for snorkling. Nice restaurant and bar and although the menu was limited due to supply issues, the meals we had were very good. A little run down but made it seem a little rustic. Staff were great and the place just had a good vibe.”

“We really enjoyed our stay with this local family in the Fao Fao fales. Beautiful beach out the front, nice rustic bar and dining area overlooking the water and reef. Seems like snorkling off beach would be good (we didnt get time to) and lots of attractions close by.”

“Wonderful staff, extra friendly and helpful, very clean rooms, just overall amazing experience for my daughter and I. The lunch and dinner menu was average though - it just lacked flavour however the staff exceeded and fixed those issues. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Have shared with family our experience and my daughter has really enjoyed our 5 nights there (6 days). Special mention to Curtis, Upu and the lovely ladies who worked during the day (sorry couldn’t get their names), Erika...

“Bar staff were excellent, friendly and super helpful. Actually all the staff except one were amaizing, friendly and super helpful. We were in V9 & V10, the views were gorgeous, on the beach front, very comfortable with most things we needed. The water appeared to be heated by solar and there was a coconut tree blocking the sun so we didn’t have any hot water after day 2! Lucky it’s lovely and hot here ☺️ Our back door latch didn’t catch properly in V9 but we still felt pretty safe....
