“The property is really run down and in need of updating. The staff tried to overcome the obstacles they are stuck with in regards to the hotel condition. Check in is at 3pm, we arrived at 7:30 and our room had not been cleaned yet and we had to wait an additional hour before we could get in. The key card lock on our door would not work and we had to have the front desk let us in 3 separate times. The show was never hot and was luke warm at best, the fsucet on the sink did not have cold water...

“Great room”

“Nice cozy stay on the way to Mt. Rushmore. Owner lived on property and was able to meet me upon arrival for check-in.”

“Communication was great, parking was easy, we stayed for a couple nights for our anniversary, the cottage and it's amenities were incredibly convenient. Being in Spearfish also makes it very easy to go to local restaurants/shops or visit the nearby towns.”

“Great overall”

“First room was dirty. Found a broken pill on the floor. Second room was not much better- it came complete with chewed gum stuck to a picture on the wall. By this time it was 2am and we just needed sleep. That gum stared at me all night. ”

“This hotel checks the boxes; affordability, comfortable beds; very decent shower, easy to get to. I’ve stayed here a handful of times and have never had a bad experience. ”
