Just don't stay here, period!. Dirty room, no room service until every other day. Hair of all sorts all over the room including the bed, dusty shelving, no napkins in the boxes, broken screen door, felt like you were in public housing, asked for extra towels since there is no room service, was told there was no staff working to bring the towels to the room. All this at the Marriott? We asked to speak with the manager upon check out, we were told they were busy in a meeting. Absolutely disgusted. We had a 2 month old with us.

From 230 AM until 4am I sat by my window while one other room and guest yelled, argued, and fought. I sat there hoping I would not fight a bunch of people accidentally crashing into my room while my family slept. Needless to say I will not be staying there anymore.

I wish I could upload the photos I took of our room. Truly the worst broken down mattress I have ever seen anywhere! Also, moldy ceilings, damaged unrepaired bathroom tile, peeling wallpaper. Sent detailed email with photos to manager. Pathetic lack of response. I expected more from Courtyard Marriott Southfield.

The property had a bed where my husband did not have to sleep in his wheelchair because the beds were on platforms thank you your beds where not in the handicap room.

The staff and management were so friendly, the room was clean and nice, parking was easy, and even the management was walking around the bistro checking on people to make sure they were happy. Probably one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had in decades, and we said multiple times that we'll be back. It's worth driving 15-20 minutes to Downtown Detroit to stay somewhere this pleasant!

Poorly maintained. Room was not cleaned even for one day (stayed 4 nights). Water leak in bathroom ceiling.

The staff has been less than pleasant. My hotel room was SUPER far away from the door. The breakfast ended at 10 on the NOSE. The microwave that was only located in the lobby was FILTHY. I will not be back.

The staff doesn't care about good services. The building is dirty(rooms, hallways), and outdated furniture. Not attractive except on the front outside.

This location was outdated, dirty, dark, and overpriced. Service was non existent, and housekeeping had a total disregard for do not disturb signs on the door. This is a 1-2 star if that hotel . Needs an update/face lift, renovation.

Well kept. Comfortable ambiance. I didn't like that there was a sheer drape exposing my bedroom to the courtyard. The night staff-Tangeline(security),& John(night auditor)- was especially nice and helpful.

Staff including the manager was wonderful and friendly. Checked in 4-5 times within 25 days because my son was in the hospital. And I was from another city. As a matter of fact, my son recommended this hotel. Couple of times I smelled someone smoking. You get a lot of exercise walking. One elevator way in the back. Very long hallways. I didn't mind it tho. They get plenty of customers. Always plenty full and busy. Would stay again if I'm in town.

Very nice hotel. When we checked in, there was kids running around the entire hotel. I didn't see any staff trying to correct them. This went on for a few hours.

The overall stay was good, however, there was a very limited and poor breakfast selection. The reservation staff was good and even offered us drinks on the house when there was a problem with the keys that delayed our check-in upon arrival. On a somber note on the day of check out, we noticed our blanket that look like it was not clean and was in need of a washing.

A place to lay your head
Definitely a place to lay your head. Not the best, not the worst. The water pressure is phenomenal. Nothing around the area has to drive a bit to get a bite. I have stayed here twice, and the second time confirmed, I'll look at some other options. I wouldn't dread having to stay there, but I'll look around.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed!!
The clerk gave me an initial room that someone else rejected due to lack of cleanliness. The next room that was given had linen that hadn’t been changed with nasty spots on the sheets. Then the clerk gave us sheets that looked worse than the initial. We were scheduled for three nights but had to leave after the first night and are requesting a refund.

Mediocre 2 night stay for me. Nice front desk staff, however, a few issues I had were the room wasn’t vacuumed (chip crumbs and candy wrappers left on the floor from previous persons stay). Housekeeping did not stop by to change sheets, bring new towels or provide new trash bags and the business chair in the room was broken so I couldn’t make use of it. Not a horrible stay but definitely not what satisfied with what I got vs what I paid for.
