Comfort Inn has been transformed into Spark by Hilton and the change is fantastic. Although renovations are still happening, the workers and staff were very accommodating. Our room was perfectly updated ..,the decor is beautiful and TV was great- very large and allowed me to access Netflix, YouTube, Tubi, etc. i highly recommend this location and will keep it #1 on my list for the future.

The property was under renovation and there were mattresses on the second floor lobby and numerous boxes by check-in. The property looks tired and the air-conditioning did not work a complaint to the front desk did not do the trick two nights without air conditioning in fairly hot weather. I paid a premium of 350 for the two nights because it was University of Michigan graduation. Expedia should not list a place that is under renovation nor should the place offer Hotel rooms at high prices when they’re renovating, it looked like a mattress store

Initially, they advertised online that they had a pool, but upon arrival, I discovered that it was not in service. I even took a picture of it. Surprisingly, there are many hotels priced under $80 without a pool. I ended up paying $102 in US dollars. I booked the hotel for my kids, who always enjoy swimming. The main reason for spending extra money was for the pool. We live in Windsor, so I drove for 40 minutes, planning to leave in the morning and return at night. However, this unexpected disappointment ruined my kids' long weekend. They should refund my money considering the circumstances.

Checked into this hotel expecting a peaceful stay, but was rudely awakened by loud remodeling noises and constant knocking starting at 7 AM. Absolutely couldn't rest and had to check out by 9:30 AM due to the disruption. Really disappointing when you're looking forward to some relaxation. Ugh, that's even worse that they didn't do anything about it! Moreover, when I brought up the issue with the staff, all I got was a 'sorry, we're remodeling.' No action was taken to mitigate the noise or offer a solution. Highly do not recommend staying here if you actually want to get some sleep. Additionally, the bathroom door wouldn't fully shut, compromising privacy, and there was water on the floor before we even used it. Between the noise and the room issues, this hotel is a hard pass if you're looking for comfort or a good night's sleep.

Timing is everything
The property is currently in the middle of a full renovation... The entire second floor is closed due to the renovations... Pool was closed, water was shut off for a day... No alarm clock needed as I was woken by construction above my room everyday... It is what it is was timing is everything... I just picked the wrong time to stay there... I'm sure once renovations are complete this week be a great place to stay...

Hotel.com Rewards paid for our stay!
Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast hostess did a great job of constantly cleaning tables and countertops. Check in was very easy and we used our Hotels.com Rewards to pay for our stay.

Don’t do it. You’ll regret it.
Wow. Cheap price got me. Came in for a family emergency, didn’t want to spend a lot. Arrived around 12am. Hallways run down, whatever no big deal. It’s cheap. Room had a bug on the sheet. Shower had mold. It was late, decided to suck it up. Went to brush my teeth, black water came pouring out. I packed my bags and went to the Hilton down the street. I tried to get a refund and the property manager declined. They clearly need to trick people out of money to make money. Stay away. I travel a lot, and this is by far, the worse hotel I have ever been in. (And I only lasted less than an hour in total).

Friendly Staff, Poor General Maintenance
The front desk and breakfast service was wonderful. The lady that did the breakfast was very attentive to all the guests making them feel welcome. She helped with the waffle maker and answered questions. She engaged with the guests in a very friendly and welcoming way. The comfort was fine, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good temperature and pressure. However on the second night all of the cold water stopped working in our room. There was construction sound all day long. The general maintenance was lacking, the towel rack kept falling, the wallpaper was coming away from the walls. And when they moved our room because of the water issue the new room's bed was not as comfortable. We didn't get any kind of discount for the inconvenience of moving rooms. And it created frustration at the end of our trip when we were supposed to be relaxing and preparing for our drive home. We could have been swimming in the pool but instead we were packing up our stuff to move into a different room.

Issues: Room 149. Wallpaper coming off, bathroom door handle falling off, toilet handle loose (husband fixed), seat loose, toilet very low to ground - hard for older people, sink drain broken, desk chair totally broken, door to cabinet for fridge did not close, dull lighting over sink, no Channel guide, towel bar by shower fell off wall- we fixed, shower pan needs caulking. No pillow top mattress which was in ad description. This room sure needs a lot of maintenance! Hence we will not stay there again! Very disappointed in this place!

Front desk associates were very friendly! Lady in the morning that handled breakfast was on her A Game and was very friendly. Room was clean and pretty nice. Shower head was not great and the water pooled in the shower tub when showering. Other than that great experience!

Lotsa of improvements happening around the hotel but the rooms are where they need an upgrade. Our sofa couch had worn patches and cigarette burns. That item needs to be retired. When two people are sharing the room, you need shampoo/conditioner/lotion for both parties. Time to rethink the free breakfast too.

Would not return. The rooms were dirty. Everything felt sticky from the TV remote & tiles to the light switches and faucet. Ceiling drywall was in poor repair above the shower, our bathroom door knob didn't latch and the door to the room was hard to close.
