Motel 6ish bit ok
There was no professional service or maintenance staff Husband and wife proprietors were hardly ever at the desk. Breakfast? Coffee, left over milk, dry cerial and yogurt with some bananas. Rather old property as general condition was that of a madeover property not one that was renovated. Ned was good and ao was TV. Great Mexican food restaurant a walk across the parking lot (100 yards) and a convenience stor/has station next door for amy other smack, mesico e, coffee or booze needs. Reminded me of a Motel 6. Definitely just ok but as a stop over its just fine.

In advertisements said free breakfast. I called before making reservations and clarified. Continental or eggs, waffles and the time served. They said from 6 am till 9:30 am. New Years night, so we were partying till 1:30 am so it was difficult to get up and be in front for 9 am. There was only Continental. With very little set up. No eggs, waffles. Disappointed!! We ate at Waffle House near by.

THEY DO NOT CLEAN THE ROOMS IF YOU STAY MORE THAN ONE NIGHT THEY JUST PUT NEW TOWLES IN THE ROOM I HAD BOOKED A ROOM WITH A KING BED AND ASK TO CHANGE TO A ROOM WITH TWO QUEEN BEDS WHEN I GOT THE AND THE PRICE WENT UP A LOT I ENDED UP PAYING $224.00 FOR A TWO NIGHT STAY

Stayed here while visiting our grandparents. It was great for the price! We are from Texas, so to us the whole city seemed a bit run down and sketchy - but I imagine if you’re staying in diamondhead you already know that/know what to expect. I were told this is the nicer hotel of the two - and I’m glad we stayed there. Will definitely consider staying there again next time we visit! Only 6 minutes from the country club.

Staff is nice, towels and linens clean, price point was good. My main gripe is quit being a tight wad and replace the smoke detector batteries, there were at least 2 if not more chirping throughout including the one in our room and the office did not have a fresh battery. I kept having to override ours. The breakfast is next to nothing but there is a Waffle House just down the road and I would recommend throwing away the recliner sitting outside. That looks ghetto.

The only reason I booked a night here was to swim in the pool to get away from the heat, and of course the pool was closed. I tried to cancel at the front desk before even getting my room key was told too late.

The pool is small and I had to clean it bc I am assuming the pump wasnt filtering. However the beds and pillows are amazingly comfortable. The breakfast had a lot to choose from and the staff was nice! I will visit again.

Econo Lodge is very nice and clean. The staff was great. The only problem we had was the pool was full of deead bugs and needed to be cleaned.

A So-So Hotel
Well, when we got there our room wasn't ready and we had to wait until 3:30 for it to be ready (check-in time was 3:00). Then, we were put on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. The room was so-so, but that's to be expected because it was cheap. I just didn't like having to take the stairs with my bad knees, and I'm not convinced we should've had to wait for our room considering there didn't seem to be a lot of people staying there at the time. You get what you pay for, I guess. Overall it wasn't that bad but I don't think I'll stay there again.

UPSET! The pool was closed..in 95* weather although clean..broke A/C.broke at 2 am.ice machine broke dirty clogged tub.

Overall stay was decent. Looks like it was recently remodeled, so I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting much from this place. It's fine for somewhere to sleep for the night. Room was clean although we kept getting smells of mildew every now and then. Housekeeping changed the towels but didn't make beds. Not a big deal, just never had that type of service before. We were visiting family in Diamondhead so it was convenient and clean enough that we would stay again.

We did not stay at the hotel. I was not aware that the property was dog friendly when I booked. We could not stay due to my daughter being allergic to dogs and it was apparent that dogs were welcome all throughout the hotel. The person at the desk assured me that we would not be charged and we left.

It's just okay not great.
The shower head needs to be cleaned or replaced and the tub was half full of water. When I was half way through with my shower something needs to be done about the drains.

Out here for the pirate festival and this hotel was last minute choice! Overall was very surprised of how clean it is! Feels kinda safer than the hotels that was a little closer to the event! Has a decent price too !

They are in the process of making some great improvements. Should be a great place to stay. Staff was very helpful

Our stay
Checking in, one of the beds had lots of hair, like it was never changed from last guest. Told the front desk as was told they could get us a new sheet that WE could change it. Also first thing in morning, a loud argument between a guest and housekeeper right outside my door. Woke us up.
