โThe inn was marvelous. The inn keeper and her husband the maintenance man were charming and responsive to our needs and kept the place immaculate. The restaurant was dissapointing. Service was terrible, eggs were over cooked. Toast was slathered in butter (I think it was butter). No salt, pepper or any other condiments were on the table and the waitress was no where to be found so we ate the meal as it was getting cold. We did not go back the next dayโ
โMike and Margaret were so kind and accommodating - their home is located in SUCH a beautiful space, and we were treated to a wonderful breakfast and conversation in the morning. We felt free to come and go, and enjoyed enthusiastic recommendations from Mike, including an exciting "scrabble" up Thundering Brook trail and a glorious swim spot at Kent Pond. Thank you again for everything! โ

โWe enjoyed our stay. The inn is in an old historic building but the interior is clean and filled with nice touches. We stayed one night, and were in the smallest room. The bed was fine. The room was quiet! The breakfast was thoughtfully presented. Good coffee. Great bread. We enjoyed the outside patio and lawn that leads down to the Ottauquechee River. We also enjoyed the artwork in the gallery. The best part of the inn is the owner and staff. They are attentive and eager to please. โ
โGreat place to stay, so close to the mountain, rode my bike all weekend. Clean comfortable room and the staff treated us like family.

โBeautiful! The expedia pictures made it seem older than what it actually is - it's quaint yet updated and clean and comfortable. So pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was simple and delicious. So happy on all accounts!โ
โThis was our second time here, and it was better than the first time. I love the features of this historic property. Our room has old hardwood floors and a fireplace. There is a veranda on the second floor for relaxing. One night we got a drink in the tavern, then had it on the veranda. The Inn offers a free continental breakfast, which is very good and has a lot to offer. We ate well every morning. The front desk folks were always friendly and helpful. I recommend this Inn.โ
