"our stay in the main lodge was okay. Room of course, was immaculate and the property though aged was well maintained. But have to criticize the complete absence of personnel at the lodge. Also, the elevator being out of order made getting to our second-floor room a real bear. There is a lot of new construction underway, but I hope as much money is being spent on maintenance of the old property as well."
"Just a little note: NO A/C. I wish that'd been in BOLD when I made the reservation. However, even though it was hot in the day, usually by the early morning it cooled off to around 78-degrees in our cabin. (stay was in late July)
The map showed a nature trail on property...never able to find it. Also the back door of our unit was unlocked and that led to a weird hallway I don't think we were supposed to find as it led to all the other backdoors of all the other units. We couldn't lock it - our key didn't work, so we blocked it with the dresser. I would've contacted the office about those things but -->
There was some weird thing with someone else staying at a nearby cabin. This whole family was yelling at the front office guy. I returned later and found he locked himself in the office, shut off the lights and was pretending not to be there. Then the cops showed up.
Cute property though - There are yellow-bellied marmots who live on the property who are adorable to see run around."
"Small, quiet and just what we needed to prepare us for hiking in the rockies the next day! After hours checkin was simple, room clean and everything we needed for a restful night. We stayed their one night prior to entering the park the next day for hiking."
"Located perfectly with tons to do around the area and plenty of shopping and food options. It’s pretty outdated but the amenities were nice. I will say they were 2 tiny trash cans in our room with 4 people. It would have been nice to have a normal size trash cans and we had to empty the trash into other cans located by the pool. Other than that is was just fine!"
"We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfasts were great! Lots of choices and the staff kept everything very clean and stocked. The best part, though, was Susie the concierge. We asked her for suggestions about the nearby Rocky Mountain National Park and with her maps and highlighters was able to give us excellent advice. We really think we would have missed special sights without her guidance. We would give her more than 5 stars if we could."
"We stayed for two night while visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park. A great choice. Family owed and operated. A smaller establishment but very accommodating, friendly, and informal. Rooms are small but very clean. The breakfast accommodation was great to start a day of sightseeing."
