Very nice hotel!

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used this more remote hotel as a central point between Dresden and Leipzig. So nice to stay outside of the busyness of the city. Highly recommend this hotel.

10 min walk to Old Town and all restaurants. 20 min to Castle. We did not get a room with the river view but the room was updated and very clean. Breakfast option is well worth the money. Will definitely return when back in Meissen.

This was our second time in the hotel, first time as a family with our little one. We travelled to Meißen because of the Christmas market. Hotel building is beautiful, also the restaurant with a view, staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly. Location is great, with a beautiful view. This time we did not try the spa, sauna. Our room was nothing special, breakfast was a disappointment, from a four star hotel I would expect more.

A really nice new/old hotel, with a beautiful tiled and architecturally exquisite exterior. A perfect landing spot for a beautiful town of Meissen - a gem of Saxony.

Room cold Told to move car to back lot as it was in an electric one even though there are four spaces. No spot available at back so parked beside building. Next morning i see a non electric car parked in the space I was in. Told receptionist this at check out - she offered to reimburse €15 cost but did not know how to refund me. She spoke with her colleague who decided not to offer a refund as I had parked inside. I stated that there was no reason for me to move from my initial parking space and as such was being asked to pay for a parking space I had not got. He didn’t care. Avoid the hotel - hidden charges to park and use facilities - there was no mention of discount for hotels.com gold members either.

Good place to stay at Meissen

The hotel is well located on the river bank with a beautiful garden and is well maintained. It has a spa, but we didn't have time to try it. The breakfast served was good, also the variety of the food that was offered. The only negative we have seen is that the hotel restaurant closes at 10 pm and there is no bar available in the hotel. it was a bit sad as it would be really great to have an opportunity to have a cocktail after arriving from the opera that night.

Parking ist wie in vielen Stadthotels einfach nicht Gastfreundlich: Wurde beim Empfang nicht gut kommuniziert- „ Sie müssen da drehen und dann rausfahren und schräg da drüben können Sie parken“. Sehr unmotiviert die junge Dame am Empfang. Besser wäre ein freundliches - herzlich willkommen. Parken geht da und da und da, hier ist ein Plan und im abgesperrten Bereich kommen Sie mit unserer Plastik Karte rein= die Schranke öffnet sich. Musste alles selber suchen und ausprobieren.

Ich buchte diesen Aufenthalt als kleines Überraschungs-Get-Away für mich und meinen Partner zum Jahrestag. Wir waren sehr überrascht, als wir das behindertengerechte Zimmer betraten. Da wir weder behindert noch alt sind war diese Unterkunft mehr als Fehl am Platz für die Feier unserer Liebe. Zur Krönung war es auch noch ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür. Diese Verbindungstür hat einen so großen Spalt, dass wir jedes kleinste Detail unserer Nachbarn ab Morgens um 5 hörten inklusive Durchfall und Übergeben. Da sich in mir etwas gewaltig sträubt mich in dieser Nasszelle (Fotos) frisch zu machen, musste ich ungeduscht abreisen. Dafür, dass ich eine der höchsten, wenn nicht sogar DIE höchste Zimmerkategorie buchte um mich an meinem Jahrestag im Hotel wohler zu fühlen als zu Hause, reise ich übermüdet, ungepflegt und voller Enttäuschung wieder ab. Hätte ich vorher gewusst, dass mir ein Behinderten-Zimmer zugewiesen wird, wäre ich nicht angereist, sondern zu Hause geblieben. Auch dass das Frühstücksrestaurant nicht in Betrieb war, sondern das Frühstück im Konferenzsaal stattfindet hätte ich gerne vorher gewusst. Auch das wäre für mich ein Grund gewesen nicht anzureisen. Mein Jahrestag war ein Alptraum und ich bin froh abzureisen.
