I've been to many hotels in my life, and I would NOT call this a hotel. I booked it for two nights, and left the hotel in the MIDDLE of the FIRST night for a different hotel. The windows had paint, dirt, scratches all over them. There were weird holes in the ceiling. Nothing in the hotel had been cleaned in a long time it seemed. All the outlets were physically broken. EVEN the main elevator was more dirty and awful than I could have imagined, it seemed as if people were just spitting in it and no one was cleaning it. I was planning on leaving the day after I checked in because of the conditions, but the reason I just had to leave in the middle of the night was because of the night manager. He was a Pakistani guy, I forget his name, but he DID NOT KNOW how to speak with another HUMAN BEING. Most disrespectful person I've ever encountered. Even simple genuine questions or requests, he completely threw a tantrum about. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL

I am sorry to say, but this hotel is long past its great days. elevator button was broken, not clean and smelly. Very dark inside.

The location is excellent, close to the old Dubai and the street markets. Lots of restaurants, shops, groceries, etc nearby. Staff was very friendly and helped us at all times. Great service by reception desk, the restaurant at the 7th floor and the cleaner who took care of our room. The room looks a bit dated but everything works and it was not an issue. No outside noise, TV had western channels and aircon works really well. I'd stay there again and recommend the hotel to other travelers who want to stay near the old Dubai, instead of the flashy new districts. Thank you for the great service.

terrible service & environment also wrong booking
I've stayed many times in this hotel, but it seems in recent years, it's going downward only. All my customers around also said this hotel quality reduced too much. The luggage and front desk service and Sherlock Holmes bar are good and excellent. But the reception and environment of whole hotel are very worse. I booked for one room with two twin beds but they only provide one room and reluctant to admit it's their mistake. The environment and route to everywhere are terrible. cleaness very bad, you can see stains on pillow, sheets... elevators not functioning safe and comfort, air conditioning always crazy hot during day time and freezing cold at night and no way to adjust....service and facility all worse than ever seen. This is a hotel I will never stay and will only give bad credit to others.

One of the worst nights spent in a hotel in a long time. I was first given a room that was under maintenance (paint smell + items spread on the bed) and then shifted to another room where AC kept making horrible noise intermittently

Worst Experience
I had the worst and horrible experience at this Hotel - the room carpet was completely soaked in water and my night pajamas got wet by the wet carpet and I had to sleep wearing pants with total discomfort- when asked to change the room they had no room available and the housekeeping put some towels on the carpet which soon got soaked as well - they changed the room next day but that room was bad too with no running hot water in the shower

I have regularly stayed here. Unfortunately lately the management has become awful especially the front desk. They do not provide any upgrades or any perks to expedia members who are platinum even though they mention they do. Also for just asking for 1 hr late checkout after they did not updrade room or any perks they blankly now ask for money. Also the lobby has become full of sketchy people during the evening and looks more like a pickup joint. I would recommend this place to families or single women. During my stay police were called for a drunken brawl.

Excellent, affordable hotel in Bur Dubai.
Comfortable hotel in the heart of Bur Dubai. Great location, attentive and helpful staff, magnificent range of restaurants onsite. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only minor disappointment was the breakfast that was not international enough. But, we would happily go back again.

Horrible small hotel, bad smell, some workers were kind but the others no. The electricity was not safe for electricuted badly and I have children who use it as well! Room stinks!!
