“As soon as we walked through the door, we knew we made the right choice. The restaurant/bar area was beautiful and cozy. The hotel staff was welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated, and the bay window view of the sea was gorgeous. I will stay at the Avoca any time that I return to Newcastle.”

“This was a little tougher than expected. However it was altogether nice. More like renting a resort cottage. Would be great for young couples or groups of friends. Lots of little extras having a full kitchen and laundry. Shower not really an option. Local area very quiet. This also meant few options for pubs or restaurants except the local grocer. Slept well with the windows open and enjoyed magnificent views of the mournes and water.”

“The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The staff in the bar serving afternoon food and drinks were slow and not very knowledgeable, also the snack choices were very limited. “I would stay again.good staff, great location and near bus route into Belfast”

“Spotless apartment with all the amenities. Easy check-in and parking with facilities nearby. Will definitely return. ”

“Good hotel with quality views from the bedroom and super breakfast will be returning soon”
