Dead bugs in the bathroom. The reason I chose this hotel is because it had a pool my children wanted to play in for my daughter’s birthday. It was closed and looked like it had been for awhile. Every vending machine was out of order. The room was very outdated & the beds were very old and hard. Paint peeling off the walls in the bathroom. I will never chose this hotel again.

1st room checked toilet running floor flooded. Went to desk they only had one king 1st floor and 2 bed 2 nd floor. 2 bed is what we reserved. We couldn’t take 2nd floor because of my husband’s disabilities. So we had to take king. Water was on bathroom floor coming from tub area. Just felt with it because no other room. No one at desk in morning to tell. Paid more than on website. Would not recomend

My door lock was broke! No one came to fix it! Landlord would nt l et anyone but maintenance guy fix it. I was told they didnt have a guy! Pool was closed..... hasnt been open since covid!!! No one told us before check in! Bath tub the stopper was broke. Towel rack fell off wall!! Why arent things fixed??

We were in town for Thanksgiving with family and didn't need a lot of extra perks...just a comfortable place to sleep. The staff was very helpful when we had some problems with our room keys, and even got up extra early to make coffee when we had an early departure. Walls were thin so we could hear all next door conversations and activities.

The hotel was basic but very adequate. the bed was wonderful and the room was exceptionally quiet.It was just a short trip up the road to Birch Run.

Overall poor stay!
Was very surprised that the hotel had run down since last year. We stayed there for past several years for a bowling tournament, once a year, and it has been great until this year. The jacuzzi's control was torn out of the wall, the pool was freezing, and the continental breakfast was a poor selection. We definitely won't be staying there next year!

Only choice in town
We attended a family wedding in town and stayed at the Quality Inn because of it's convenience to the wedding location. The bedding had stains, especially the duvet, but at least smelled clean. The bathroom was the room I felt was cleanest and the shower was very nice. Next to the hot tub, where the controls should be, was an open hole with tubing hanging out. Clearly this hotel needs some upkeep desperately. The staff was friendly and for the price I wasn't overly offended by the state of things.

Delightful find!
What a gem of a hotel tucked between Lansing and Flint! It's small but clean and friendly and at a great price. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've found in a hotel. Very nice! Breakfast was the standard fare at most hotels. The only downside I found was the walls were quite thin and I could hear conversations in the room next door.

Disappointed
The room had many stain spots; bed was not made properly. Person behind the desk was not helpful. I have stayed in over 25 hotels a year and this is by far the worst. The reason I stayed in the first place was because it is the only hotel in the area. I will be going to Flint that is 20 minutes away to get a hotel from now on.

Nice hotel let down by bathroom door
Nice location, easy check in, noce pool, nice room except for bathroom problem that puts me right off this hotel. There is no extract fan in the bathroom so there is a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the bathroom door for ventilation! As a result of this there is no privacy or dignity possible if someone needs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. This is a major issue for me and seems to be a terrible oversight by the architect/owners.

Ok Hotel
Nice hotel, but the repair work that had been done, wasn't done well, so it looked bad and reflected on the overall appearance. Staff were not bad, but not good, just OK. So it was an Ok experience.

Everything went, breakfast was good except for the breakfast room which was dirty and worn. Carpeting and tables need to be replaced.

All in all a decent place to stay.
The only thing that bothered us, was there was no info online telling us there was an indoor pool, so we did not bring suits. We asked for a wake up call on check out morning, yet never got one.

Traveling with kids
The hotel looks overused and the carpet is old. As long as you can get past that, it is quite comfortable. The breakfast is OK. The room is good sized with enough room for an extra cot if you need one. Comes with a fridge and microwave. The water in the pool was cold and the jacuzzi was not working :-(

Overall we had a good experience. The staff were nice, our room was clean an comfortable. The only complaints we had was that the pillows were couch sized not regular bed sized pillows.

Durand in July
Right next to the freeway which was very convienent. The breakfast wasmarginal at best, and there was no attendant available. Pool was nice and well maintained. Disappointed that there was no elevator (physical limitations for using the stairs).

Hotel was fine. There is no elevator, so if your room is on the 2nd floor you have to take the stairs. Overall good experience. Price was great.

Visiting family
Needed a place to sleep while visiting family in the area for a few days. Comfortable and nice atmosphere. Only one complaint the fitted sheet on the mattress did not stay fitted to the corners of the mattress had to continually fix the sheet all night long.

No elevator, not enough staff.
I didn't get a handicap room. Not sure if I reserved one online. I don't think I found where to check that, so I just wrote what I needed. My room was far away from a door to the outside, and on the second floor. To my surprise, there was nothing available on the main floor, and no elevator, and no one to assist with baggage. The hall and stairway carpeting were in need of vacuuming. Dingy lighting.

Low cost choice. No frills, but nothing bad either
Pretty ordinary. Check in and out was the only negative -- staff was indifferent, had to wait for desk clerk to finish her cigarette outside, so she could come back inside, to take care of us.

Weekend get away.
We enjoyed our time at the Quality Inn in Durand very much. The pool and Hot tub was a much needed change from the 15 degree weather we were having. It was a very nice place to stay as well as a inexpensive price to pay for the accommodations. Thank you Quality Inn for making this weekend a very nice and affordable place to go.

Okay hotel for area
The staff was friendly. It was nice that on the morning of our second day they opened the breakfast at 6 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. so my staff could get something from their breakfast area. Pool was cloudy and had a high chlorine smell. It was bad that there was no automatic door at the front door and even more bad that they had no elevator to get to the second floor. We had a lot of heavy bags to bring in but not able to put them on their luggage cart. Location was great since it was near a few fast food restaurants and a drug store. Easy access from the highway. Not far at all from the location we needed to get to during our stay. If stay there next year, I will be sure to request a first floor room. Not many hotel choices to be by our business location. Was told the reception desk folks are also the housekeeping folks in winter months. Room was clean. Only thing that we didn't like was the bathroom door opened out into the room instead of into the bathroom. Bumped someone that was using the sink outside the bathroom.

we had a good stay while in the area for my sister's memorial. It was a pleasant clean hotel, and convenient to stores, and expressway.

This hotel was run down, dirty, filthy pool area with murky water. The tap water smelled bad & all of the vending machines were out of order. The complimentary coffee was ice cold and tatsed like it was sitting in the dispenser for over a day. I have paid less for much better accommodations... very disappointed!

Good hotel
The hotel itself was great - wonderful continental breakfast and close enough to walk to Wendy's and a convenience store. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Quiet. The hotel employee that checked us in on Friday night was lazing around behind the counter with her boyfriend - extremely unprofessional.

Decent lodging
Decent lodging for the price. Hallways just a tad noisy, but overall not a bad place to stay. I usually stay here once a year, not much else in the area that would be as nice a place to stay.

Very serviceable stopover
Needed to stop between Toronto and Chicago and this fit the bill. Only complaint was that coffee was terrible. Sausage was great though!

Michigan state Game
Me and 3 friends stayed here for a Football game and it served ita purposes. Very clean and comfortable and also good price. If your looking for a cheap and solid room for a night or two id reccomend it.

Nice place for a quick trip. The room was clean, and the desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. Had to leave early so, I didn't try the breakfast. Overall, this is a comfortable place...clean and quiet.
