The hotel is located only a few minutes from the beach, many restaurants and small shops. The room was pretty big and sufficiently furnished. The staff was as helpful and kind as humanly possible and they made everything they could to make us feel good there, providing information on where to go and what to do, inviting us for coffee and letting us taste their home brewed beer. It is a family run business which adds to the welcoming feeling you get when arriving there. Although I wouldn’t recommend the city if you’re not into crowded places (including the beaches) and touristic restaurants, the old town is nice to visit (6km away - EUR 5.- for a taxi) and if you have a car, there are nice quiet beaches only about 15-20km away. And a trip to Tirana (40minutes away) is very easy to do and worth it ! The only thing that could be improved is to add AC because it was so warm we had to sleep with the window open and because of the train honking every time it passes, the stray dogs howling all night and the roosters yelling since 5am, it was a bit hard to get a full night of sleep. ;)
Would definitely recommend staying in Albion hotel if you go to Durres.
