Room had a damp smell and we had to ask staff to empty the fridge, as it was full of someone else's food including half a packet of smelly meatballs. "This is a one-of a kind old hotel in the center of Stenungsund, the rooms are small and quirky, not soundproof (you can hear snoring through the wall), but my room has a small balcony, a weird but fun bathroom sunken down a few steps, and the breakfast was great. It is tight with space, but cozy and old-fashioned Swedish way. I love it, but it will not be for people that want modern fancy. This is historical instead."

"It is a bit out of the way but treat it more like retreat in a quite place, better to get there by car and they have plenty of free parking. Rooms are clean and big with all amenities being practical. Lot of games for kids to play hence they would never want to leave the hotel, and must say all those areas are well maintained as well. Staff are very professional and helpful. Wellness area is ok but it can get a bit crowded as it is open for hotel and outside guests I believe. Tried only breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good with plenty of choices."
