  • #Trovember Round barn at Hancock Shaker Village. I've been wanting to explore here since visiting the Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH also the one in Sabbathday Lakes, Maine. The history, culture and Shaker way of life is so interesting and appealing in its simplicity. We visited in April and were excited to meet and0wt the newly born farm animals. We took a tour to hear about daily life in a Shaker Village and then enjoyed a walking trail through woods and meadow and finished off with some delicious ice cream. "Tis a Gift to be Simple, 'Tis a Gift to be Free..." and it's a gift to explore this well-preserved living history museum!

We had a great time at the Inn. Tara, the inn keeper, was kind, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a hot special each day and a multitude of scrumptious offerings: fruit, nuts, eggs, breads, overnight oats, yogurt and all sorts of milks, juices, coffees, teas.

The Inn was beautiful! The rooms were small but very clean and comfortable, a perfect size for 2 people. The innkeepers Sean and Chloe were wonderful! They were friendly, warm and welcoming and made an excellent breakfast every morning. I would definitely come back and highly recommend staying here for a quick getaway from the city.

The accommodation is decorated with incredible attention to detail and taste – the warm wood, stylish furniture, and countless charming little touches create a beautiful, natural atmosphere. In the mornings, we were awakened by the cheerful chirping of birds, which was simply magical. We especially loved the cozy hours by the fireplace and the incredibly delicious breakfast, prepared with so much care by the innkeepers. Everything was perfect, and we wholeheartedly recommend this place!

My wife and I were stunned at the extraordinary beauty of NY State (just west of the Mass.' Berkshires) at the height of foliage season. This farm was newly renovated within the last two years, and both the individual rooms and the general area were pristine and warm, inviting. Our two hosts were very accommodating, allowing us to partake of coffee and snacks after hours. And they had just completed a challenging 1/2 mile trail walk up the steep hill and back, a great, short workout. They were also very accommodating in providing ideas for dinner and local wineries. We were extremely pleased with the opportunity to relish this area and enjoy its beauty and shopping. We would not hesitate to return. (We have one nitpick, though; our television had troubles going to regular TV before channel 200. Not a dealbreaker, though).

What a wonderful one-night stay on the July 4th weekend. It’s a beautiful, comfortable inn with lovely hosts. Also in a great location, set back from a fairly busy country road with several good food options nearby, and charming villages and towns to tour. Highly recommend.

The B&B is very nicely run and the food was excellent. It is very clean and the property is pretty. We came to attend movie night at Tanglewood. It is not an easy commute for someone from out of town. If you’re looking for an easy commute to Tanglewood I’d recommend staying in Lenox.
