"Hotel was clean and the room (stayed in a suite) was really clean and spacious. Air conditioning was cold and our balcony was great! Beds were comfortable. The woman who checked us in was super friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was easy. Amenities were ok - breakfast wasn’t a big spread but it was free and my kids loved the bagels. The pool was ok - but honestly we spent most of our time at the beach so the amenities didn’t matter much to us. Short two block walk to the beach and like 1 block to the main road. No complaints and would definitely stay again."

"We had a nice stay. Staff at the front desk was helpful and got us checked in quickly. There is some covered parking which is great if you can get one of those spots. Great location, 1 block from the beach and close to restaurants and beach clubs. There’s a chair and umbrella stand right where you enter the beach but they only take cash and the closest ATM is 4 blocks away so bring cash with you. This isn’t a luxury hotel but it was clean, the carpet seemed very new, the bed was comfortable, the AC ran perfectly and a it didn’t smell like mildew like some places at the beach do. We will be back!"

"From the moment you arrive at the Surf Shanty, you can tell it's a well-kept establishment. Andre was so nice and helpful --he was always onsite and keeping the outdoor area clean. The rooms were clean and look exactly like the photos! There are ample towels and fun toiletries to try. I'm definitely buying the products! They were great. The beach is only a few steps away..a big plus! I loved everything about the Surf Shanty and will definitely return!"
