"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the setting was wonderful and tranquil, the short riverside walk opposite, gorgeous. The staff were super friendly, our apartment clean and comfy, although I think the deluxe description was perhaps a little exaggerated, with the hand held shower head in the bath, rather than a walk in shower. I’d definitely return, the countryside is delightful around Connelles too."

"The accommodations in the old mill are fabulous! Updated rooms with antique furnishings. Heat and AirCon. Lovely sound of the weir. I requested a "river view room if possible" and got the best room on the premises! The grounds are well tended & include riverside dining, lawns, sun deck, hot tub, and a tiny sauna with a river view. Excellent for a getaway holiday. Having a car or a bicycle would increase the options for activities and dining. Tho the hotel chef is top notch and the food excellent. Breakfast was also good with many choices."

"Lovely helpful staff. Budget room but tidy, clean and comfy bed. Very quiet and plenty of parking. Continental breakfast was nice and again not expensive. Stayed to break my trip up to the charente and will be here again next year. 👍👍"

"Hotel location is perfect. We had dinner as well. Food was so good. Breakfast was not buffet style but they served whatever we asked for. Room was not to big but was big enough. We were so happy to stay there. I recommend everyone to go and stay in this hotel"
