“The property is well-maintained and the staff is super friendly and attentive. It’s not “on the beach” but within walking distance, which is actually nice because it’s away from the partying surfer hot spots. We had a quiet, relaxing stay and again- the staff is so nice. Would stay here again. ”
“Very nice stay. Loved that El Tunco is right behind the property.. access to beach, restaraunts all in the backyard. The staff was great. Wanted to leave (late check out) and was told we couldn’t after calling the night before because someone booked the room. That was disappointing but we were able to stay on the resort until 4pm. Room was small for two if you want space but amazing view, clean, food was okay and bar was a nice vibe. Got a massage for 1 hour for $50. All in all had a great time!”

“This property was lovely. Just be aware there are a lot of stairs from the boardwalk up to the hotel, but they do have a ramp as well. It is walking distance to many places to eat, dine etc. Also they did not have a full body mirror, but other than that everything was great! ”
“Tunco is a quaint beach town were surfing is the primary attraction. A walk along the streets, shops, and street vendors make for a colorful experience but be prepared to sweat as virtually nothing is air conditioned except our hotel room that was a great refuge from the heat. This hotel was the right place to stay and we will return. Wait staff in restaurant was only average, but rest of staff was great! Breakfast ok with no substitution made choice more complicated... ”

“Hotel Farallones was fantastic. It was about a 4 minute car ride from El Tunco. The location is stunning and the service was great. It also felt very safe with 24 hour security at the gate. We rented a car, so it was nice to come and go when we pleased. ”

“It's about a 10 minute walk to Sunzal beach - so in that sense the property is very convenient for surfing. That being said, there's very little in the immediate area of the hotel, and it's about a 25-30 minute walk to El Tunco. I rented a motorcycle, so that wasn't much a problem for me.
