Hotel Riu Santa Fe - All Inclusive

2/10 Terrible

"disappointing experience with my recent stay. Upon arrival, I found the room to be unclean and not up to an acceptable standard. Additionally, the balcony door did not close properly, which allowed mosquitoes to enter the room throughout the night. As a result, I was constantly dealing with mosquitoes flying around me and was unable to sleep comfortably. The air conditioning was also not working properly, making the situation even more uncomfortable. The combination of the dirty room, malfunctioning AC, and mosquito infestation made the room uninhabitable for me. I only stayed one night because I could not tolerate the conditions any longer and felt extremely uncomfortable throughout my stay. Overall, this was a terrible experience and far below what I expected when booking through Expedia. I would appreciate your review of this situation and consideration of appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and poor accommodations."

"Great property. Lovely people. Be ready to spend far more than you budgeted. Hidden fees everywhere and food on-site is very expensive. Nothing is included. However, the cabanas where spectacular, attentive staff, and perfect for relaxation. This is a time share property primarily so they will ask you to sit in that, you can decline. All excursions where planned through outside company. Great $25 beach horse ride from a local. I cannot stress enough to be prepared to spend far more than you budget. Go to the local city market instead and gather food and drink items. No cooking available in rooms."

"Family Vaycay Destination- we had a multi- family members’ birthday celebration and the all inclusive factor was a hit!! Pros- Food selection/Restaurants, Pool, Cleanliness, Service-, Gym/Fitness Activities, Cons- WiFi (very slow), Room selection (see explanation below), Pool access times (closes at 8pm) Overall great resort to meet with your family as everyone can do as they please, but meeting up to spend time was a breeze. If you’re like me and enjoy swimming until 10pm or evening, this resort closes the pool area by 8pm so this was a sigh. My biggest critique is not with the resort, but with the photos in Expedia. I thought I was booking the photo seen on Expedia, bright and colorful rooms, but when I got checked in, I realized I was given the older, darker rooms which were acceptable, but not what I thought I was paying for. Overall, good value but find out what room you are actually purchasing as the premium/renovated rooms are categorized differently."

"everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was very clean and the swim up pool made stay very enjoyable. The extra perk of pool service from our pool was great for lunch and drinks no need to get dressed. All of the Reserve staff were friendly and very helpful."
