"Great central location for your stay in Astoria. Everything from food to shopping and great selection of taproom to chose from within walking distance. We had the King Suite, spacious room with nice bathroom, very clean. The road noise wasn't as bad as some reviewers have mentioned but be aware Friday AM is garbage pickup downtown. Great staff, easy check in. We'll book a stay again there when we come back."

"My friend and I decided to take a last minute weekend trip to the coast and decided to stay overnight. We were looking for cheap with a good location, free parking and maybe a continental and we found all of that with the Atomic Motel. The dated look is part of its charm - despite looking a little worn down it's in great condition, everything is clean and the beds were comfortable. We stayed in a room that was a queen bed with a twin bed and it worked great for us. The TV in the room is tiny but honestly if you're in Astoria you're probably not there to watch TV. The bathroom is the only area I thought was truly lacking - if you have bad knees or ADA needs it might be a little difficult as the toilet sits about 1.5'. Otherwise the bathroom is spacious enough with a good sized bath/shower, they even supply an anti-slip mat which is always appreciated. The overall property is simple. Parking is right in the middle of the property with easy access to rooms. If you'd rather have a full breakfast over the continental, there's a Pig & Pancake right next door. If you're visiting the area for the first time, around the block behind the motel is the Astoria Visitor Center with information about local events and attractions as well as souvenirs and maps and a sweet old lady who'll tell you all about anything you want to know about the area."

"The Bowline was genuinely beautiful. The room was great, and the balcony view of the river was so peaceful. The in-room bathtub was perfect for relaxing, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The fireplace is controlled by the thermostat, which made it really easy to turn on and made the room feel extra cozy. My only slight confusion was the “resort fee.” It’s only $15, but this definitely isn’t a traditional resort with a pool, gym, spa, etc. That said, there is a barrel sauna on one end of the property, so I’m guessing that may be what the fee goes toward. The room also comes with a refillable carafe of water that you can refill near the bar area. The breakfast/restaurant area is pretty small, so I’d recommend exploring some of the nearby cafes instead. Also, some reviews mentioned noise, but that wasn’t my experience at all. The whole place felt calm, quiet, and really serene."

"room was small, but clean and the bed was comfortable. tv is a hospital-style monitor, but has a dvd player built in and they have an assortment on a shelf in the lobby you can watch. sound travels in this old building, so you’re able to hear neighbors above you and on your floor walking around and using the showers/bathroom. they do provide earplugs in the room, but if you’re sensitive to this, it may not be for you. otherwise, the shared bathrooms/showers were clean and stocked. there was free coffee/tea 24/7 in the lobby, however we were unable to figure out where the morning coffee mentioned in the room notes was located (different than the lobby coffee). parking was not an issue, even during the farmer’s market on sunday. the hotel is in walking distance of pretty much everything you could want to do!"
