"We loved the decor and cleanliness of the hotel. It's convenience to the Metro was priceless. That park nearby was such a nice perk! We even attended a fun Cherry Blossom Festival at that park during our stay. We felt totally safe in the area, including the park."
"Property and room clean. Our room facing nack was quiet. We walked while there to mall for exercise. Lots of food choices in are. Parking was secure but expensive at 50 a night. Felt safe when walking area during day. Didn't go out much at night."
"Love love love the Hotel Lombardy. It is an historic gem, full of character. The location is perfect. Across the street from dining options and a couple of blocks from a CVS and a Whole Foods store.
We were 15 minutes walk from the White House. The sights were easily accessible on foot. (We are Brits and we like to walk around).
We felt very safe in the area.
The beds were so comfortable, we could have taken them home!
A big shout out to Muhammed in the restaurant who could not do enough for us.
I highly recommend this hotel.

"W O N D E R F U L stay. I cannot say more good things about this newest addition to the DC hotel scene—perfectly situated in the heart of DuPont Circle, steps from Princeton and USC campuses and tons of great eats. Very cozy and affordable Mediterranean restaurant and speakeasy downstairs (breakfast starting at 7 and drinks until 1 am) and several good restaurants within yards. The hotel staff, though a bit bareboned, was incredibly gracious, courteous and acccommodating. I did not have time to check out the gym scene or explore what was in the area from that perspective. Exactly 13 minutes by Uber to DCAnand just a short walk to DC Metro-DuPont Circle."
"I’ve stayed at the State Plaza many times. The hotel is located in the Foggy Bottom area. A short walk to the monuments on the edge of GWU’s campus. The area is less crowded, convenient and safe feeling. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Everything is very clean, although I find the bathrooms may need a little touching up. Not a renovation, but just some aging that needs attention. The staff are always very nice and helpful. They have a paid underground secure self parking available. "
