Rooms were clean but there was mold on the wall in the bathroom that was painted over. Ran out of coffee in the morning when we went through the buffet and the gentleman at the desk didn’t know how to make more.

An adequate place to spend a night however the bed felt hard and old. Bathtub had rust around the drain. Front desk guessed about early check in fee which made me wonder if it was really a thing? Forgot to hold a card for incidentals and had to come find me to get that on hold.

Best Place to Stay in Emporia

The room was clean and comfortable. The employees were friendly and courteous. The pool was clean and actually heated. Will definitely stay here again!

The front desk staff when I checked in was amazing! He was so friendly and he knew I was traveling with a small child, so he took extra time to mention things to do with children while staying. He also gave a good dinner recommendation that gave a discount for staying at the hotel. He was very charismatic and welcoming. The hotel was very clean, from the entrance to the room. Comfortable, modern, good bed, cool AC, and quiet! The laundry facility and pool were in order and working great. At check out, another employee was very kind and helpful as well!

It says pet friendly but when I arrived, I was told there was no pet rooms available. There was hardly anyone there. After a lengthy phone call I couldn’t understand, they agreed to rent me a room for another $35.. felt like a scam. I would have went somewhere else but was too tired.

The facility is old, the exterior doors at the alternate entrances didn’t close securely. The main door to my room required a bit of force to open and had to be pulled closed to secure. The floor of my first floor room and the hallway had spongy spots. It appears the ownership has changed recently and they are actively working on fixing things. It was a rook for me to sleep while on town for business. But the other facilities around the area are in better condition

The room musty. The curtains didnt close, and it sounded like there was a basketball game being played above us. Upon checkout i gave the hotel clerk this info and she began to take it personal and tried to make me feel at fault. She wasnt wearing a clean shirt which fit the demeanor of the stay.

Not great but not horrible

There was a smell upon entering the hotel for check in. We couldn't decide if it was musty or what exactly it was. Our room was on the second floor. The elevator was a little noisy but we made it up. When we entered the room there was a different smell in it. Almost like someone had cooked in it. The room wasn't bad but one of the double beds had a very noticeable sag. The walk in shower was nice as was the indoor pool. The carpets throughout the hotel could use a cleaning or replacement. Breakfast was ok but i think all the hot food may have been prepared in a microwave. I had booked in January for our labor day weekend stay because there was a big disc golf tournament. Given the hotel condition, $105/night seemed a little pricey, but maybe it had to do with that tournament. It probably wouldn't be my first choice next time but that would depend on the pricing of the other options. We stayed two nights.

I just want to be clear that there wasn’t very much wrong with the facility itself. Of course it’s a cheaper hotel and you get what you pay for. I stayed at this hotel as a last-minute booking for a Government business trip. From the second that I walked in the lady at the front had an obvious uncomfortable feeling towards me she had it very hard time hiding this even went as far as yelling at me, and throwing my room key at me throughout the visit, she continued to roll her eyes at me and show she was uncomfortable in my presence. On my last morning, she made my family and I very uncomfortable, doing something super petty in the kitchen with attitude that was actually caught on camera, and I actually would like the film from that camera pulled. I would never stay here again, and I would highly recommend nobody ever stay here at least if you’re a person of color. Which is something I don’t ever pay mine to but in that situation it was very very hard to ignore. I will never be back and is veterans and federal government. Workers deserve so much better.

On arrival we were put in a room that wasn't even clean yet. There was trash, bed not made,etc. They did put us in another room. We put out a privacy door hanger and they ignored it and came in anyway. We found out this when our door key didn't work. My husband went down to get it fixed and they told us that they thought we had checked out. Now how did they come to that conclusion
