"Did not get a response to my emails prior to my arrival to get airport pick up had to take a taxi Minimal English speaking at the resort use Google translator Even with the translator, there were some confusion about what I was asking The included breakfast was nowhere that I could see or find There was a carafe copy that was very cold No one greeted me when I went over to instruct me as to where I would have breakfast once again no Comprende was usually the response even with my translator I had ceviche for lunch every day. It was delicious. There was no water in my five days I received two bottles of water My room was cute, quaint, clean, and surprisingly, although it is surrounded by lots of trees vines and thatch there were no bugs! The resort itself was exactly what I was looking for quaint organic. There’s a little pool as we enter to the resort on the right hand side, which is where I did most of my swimming it was clean and pretty and quiet. The remaining pools typically had leaves and debris in them I found my own way back to the airport to depart "

"The resort was okay. I am in my early 20’s with a 2yr old and there weren’t that many activities to do. As someone that goes to a lot of resorts and has been there many years back it was disappointing. There wasn't a variety of food and a small resort overall. I had to check out the next day and contacting them for a refund has been a headache. "

"Room was very spacious with a separate kitchen/dining, living room and bedroom. The amenities are great too - an amazing gym, lap pool and a rooftop restaurant! Nice short walk to the beach. Perfect location for a surfing holiday and reasonably priced. "

"I had to leave after the first night, the room was very dirty, unsanitary and even dangerous. Shower head full of mold, the floor was very dirty black, hot water was on and off, there was not light, walls very dirty, I couldn’t even shower that night, microwave was horrible filthy, bathroom didn’t have curtains and people from the beach were able to see me even though it was the third floor. the hallway and stairs outside the property didn’t have light at all which made it hazardous, I wanted to leave running the same night but due to holiday everywhere else was sold out. I want my money back because I only stayed 1 night of the 3. I had to book hotel somewhere else because I couldn’t stay one more night there. I will attach photos and videos if required."

"We STRONGLY NOT recommend this Hotel. When we arrived it was pouring rain and it took hotel attendant more than 20 minutes to walk us one by one with the smallest umbrella ever to the reception area. Obviously we were drenched. We met the Owner that charged us an extra $100 dollars in cash for 2 rooms with AC because we had mistakenly reserved the rooms with no AC. The smaller rooms toilet and AC wasn’t working. The bigger room had a non working Jacuzzi and dirty sheets. There were only 2 staff members on site. The attendant was Receptionist, Handyman, Bartender, Security and then some. The cook was also the massage therapist. We stayed 1 night and in the morning met a guest with her 18 year old daughter who had gotten food poisoning from the hotels food. We did NOT wait a single minute longer and we packed up all our luggage’s and ran to the next doors hotel NATURA CABANA to ESCAPE our Hotel Nightmare experience! We woke up in the middle of the night with a Tarantula in our bed that sneaked into our luggage from Ecolodge. We should be reimbursed or even get paid for our HORRIBLE experience. "

"Within the first 24hr of our stay, we experienced a number of issues which ultimately resulted in us leaving after one night (booked for 4 nights). - the day before checking in, we received a message stating that the property was trying to charge our card for the whole booking even though we had already booked and paid in full through Expedia. Luckily the bank rejected the payment and we resolved the issue with the property. -upon arrival, we noticed a lot of damage to the room. looks like water damage, missing lights, fans not working and door handles falling off. - we were locked out 2x times on our first day. The property uses an app that creates a code on the lock. This didn’t work the first time and WAS CONFIRMED TO BE MALFUNCTIONING and needed to be re programmed. The 2nd time we were locked out at 9:30pm at night. There is no front desk worker however there was a maintenance person who was eventually able to let us in. This was stressful. - that same night there was a big party above us and went on until 3am. My wife and I didn’t sleep much that night. - due to these two issues on the first night we decided to leave and request a refund. The property denied it however said, if they could recoup their money from the party people above us through their security deposit, they would refund us. They never did but offered us 100$ for the inconvenience which we never received. Will never book a Kristy Collection property again after being treated this bad. "
