The hosts of this historical landmark are very accommodating and friendly. The hearty breakfasts, stunning decor, cozy accommodations (especially the bed), and serene grounds make for the perfect getaway. We can't wait to return.

This is a beautiful, private property with staff who want you to feel at home. The limited number of rooms means it is quiet and relaxed. Guests will find snacks, coffee and tea in the kitchen, lovely public rooms and the private garden to enjoy. And the breakfast was terrific. You can help yourself to eggs, bacon, fruits and pastries. Just ask for what you need, and the manager will make every effort to accommodate.

A very enjoyable stay at a historic property. The owner was on site and attentive to all of our needs. This is a very well run B&B and I would recommend it to everyone.

The property was historic, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Liz was exceptional. She gave us some great restaurant recommendations and was a wealth of knowledge of the immediate area, the home and especially the history of the home. Breakfast was as fabulous as the home was comfortable. It had everything we could want in a home away from home! We will certainly return.

We love the Delano Homestead and have stayed there numerous times. It's pleasant, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds everything you need for a stay in the New Bedford area.

The name while inviting, belies its history as the living/gathering place of the Delano and Roosevelt families for over 150 years. It is a beautiful property on a quiet street in an historic part of town. It is well maintained, historically accurate and beautifully furnished. Instead of simply a brief notation as to its history, they actually had many photographs, books and news items going back nearly 200 years related to the families and their history for one to browse through. Breakfasts were amazing! Bountiful in amounts with a wide variety of food and drink options to suit most dietary preferences. Coffee and small snacks were available throughout the day. The owner Paul is an on-site, hands on person, very engaging, with a wealth of information about the house, history, the MA/RI area and many helpful suggestions which he readily shares. Likewise was Liz, the day to day manager of all aspects of the B&B. Not only was she also a great source of information and in addressing any needs we had to make our stay even more comfortable, she is a super nice person and a pleasure to spend time talking with. We fell in love with this place and will definitely stay here again when next travelling to New England and highly recommend it to others.

My friend and I were there for only one night, but I wish I could have stayed forever! The house is absolutely beautiful and well kept. The Inn Keeper, Paul, is super nice and knowledgeable of interesting things to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious and Rhonda was the sweetest!! I will definitely be staying here again sometime and highly recommend this B&B!

This historic home is beautiful and very well maintained. The area of fairhaven is lovely as well. And there is lots to do in nearby New Bedford. The breakfast was great, too!

We needed a relaxing Bed & Breakfast, it was very relaxing. Easy on street parking. Lots of history regarding the Inn. A wonderful area for exploring and dining. Excellent staff.

Historical Comfort
Mr. Paul Beauchamp (host) made me feel comfortable right off the bat with a warm welcome and he quickly offered a great oral history of the Delano Homestead. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delightful.

Delano Homestead was a pure surprise to us. We didn't realize the history behind this place when we booked our room. Enjoyed it very much! I strongly recommend this place if you want to explore surrounding towns.

Maison remarquable à tout point de vue. Grande, magnifique, elle a une histoire et une âme. Accueil charmant avec visite des zones communes. Chambre très grande et très confortable avec un grand (et haut) lit, salle de bain privée avec baignoire et douche. Petit déjeuner servi très tôt à notre demande, très riche et varié. Nous n'étions que deux et un peu honteux de ne pas en avoir plus profité. Quartier résidentiel très calme, deux restaurants à 5mn à pied, celui où nous sommes allés était d'un bon rapport qualité/prix, même si particulièrement bruyant (comme beaucoup de restaurants aux USA...). Chambre d'hôtes à recommander fortement.

Tolles Bed & Breakfast!
Tolles Gebäude, saubere komfortable Zimmer, ein Frühstück mit Müsli, Obst, Yoghurt, Rührei mit Porzellan-Geschirr und echtem Besteck... Wir haben uns hier viel wohler gefühlt, als in den vielen Hotels und Motels, die wir ansonsten gebucht hatten. Es gibt auch gute Restaurants in der Umgebung und viele Empfehlungen vom Hausherren. Wärmste Empfehlung!

Wonderful home away from home
I was staying in the area for a workshop at a nearby school. It served as a true home away from home. It is a beautifully maintained historic home. Janessa was so pleasant and provided a full breakfast each morning with great variety. Her suggestions for nearby places to explore and eat were spot-on and helped fill my little bit of spare time perfectly. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great Fairhaven B&B
Great B&B. Lots of history, very comfortable and clean furnishings, great location, a couple of fantastic places to eat nearby (Elizabeth's and Margaret's), nice walk to Fort Phoenix where we saw 9 fox pups frolicking with each other for 1/2 hr before we had to pull ourselves away.

Extraordinary historic lodgings
I would put my stay at the Delano at the very top of great lodging experiences. To begin with the house is no only historic in its connection to FDR, but exquisitely restored and furnished and maintained. Add a very kind and helpful host/owner and you end up a visit that you will fondly remember.

Janessa was an excellent host, friendly but unobtrusive. She prepared a delicious breakfast with several options. The room was well appointed and quite comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and in superb condition. While I was only there for one night, it was an experience that I would gladly repeat for a longer stay. Be aware that only on street parking is available.

Definitely stay here!
The Delano Homestead B&B was perfect for our trip! We were in New Bedford on business, but wanted a nice place to stay and had a little extra time to explore the area! We loved it! It was in a great location (close to restaurants, sight seeing, and the harbor). We also LOVED the history of the house! It was beautifully decorated, clean, and the bed was very comfortable! Oh and the breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend this B&B!

Beautiful historic mansion in a beautiful street in Fairhaven. Very clean and beautifully appointed, with traditional luxurious furniture. Fully functional bathroom, clean, and kept clean. Also beautiful grounds, perfectly maintained. The breakfast food is abundant and of the first order. Really a must-see place close to many attractions in the coast of NE. I commend in particular the graciousness of Genessa, who works assiduously to keep the place in perfect, show-place shape.
