“The pictures on Expedia doesn't do the place justice. Its a little hidden gem. With live entertainment with good food and drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean but basic. Happy to stay there again. ”

“clean room, staff couldn’t have been more friendly, only negatives was being woken up at 630 by the fire alarm but that wasn’t the hotels fault. lovely hotel. ”

“Rooms are so ridiculously outdated. Broken furniture and marks everywhere. Staff not interested and barely acknowledged us it was almost like we were not good enough to stay there. Didn't ask if we wanted dinner or breakfast or even if our stay was ok on checkout. Unfriendly staff at the bar. Main areas seemed fine did not use any facilities decided against giving them any further money after the way we were treated. Beautiful from the exterior but that's about it!”

“We stayed for 1 night on our way to a MSV trackday at Donnington Park. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the River Trent. The location was great. Parking was fine and overall a pleasant stay. We chose to eat in the restaurant - unfortunately too few staff meant service was not great. The Sunday roast was ok but also not great. ”

“Rooms were spacious although they were quite warm. No opening windows. The restaurant is extremely expensive. The bar chairs are very uncomfy - just sink into them and definitely need replacing. Aside from that it is a nice hotel and friendly staff.”

“We had reason to request to move room and the staff were very accommodating and looked after us well - top marks for that. The evening dinner (pie of the day) was actually unexpectedly excellent and the accompanying veggies were nice and crisp - very enjoyable. The only minor quibble was that due to TV mounting it was next to impossible to get a HDMI stick plugged in (something maybe to check into). Anyhow, all in all, nicely situated and a nice place to stay at and all the staff we encountered...
