The location is excellent. The gentleman working the front desk went out of our way to be helpful and even make us dinner reservations. There is AC which was really important for summer. We had a family room which in a hotel built in the 1800s is pretty simplified, but being in your room is probably not why most people visit Florence. There are operable windows to overlook the charming walking street. I recommend this place.

Fantastic location around the corner from the iconic Duomo. Clean, spacious accommodation and helpful staff. 10:30am check out was early for us, but we were able to store our luggage at the desk. Short walk to the train station, doable with luggage.

The location of the hotel was wonderful, a block from the Duomo and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. It would be a challenge if you travel with large heavy luggage as there is no elevator and the reception is up two flights of stairs, but this was not a factor for us. The staff was helpful with keeping our bags for a couple of hours after we checked out.

The location couldn’t be any better, but the room left something to be desired. I’ve stayed in better hostels. I paid for a room with an in suite bathroom and a balcony, which was great. Unfortunately, I could hear the other guests clamoring on their way to and from the hall bathroom accommodations for all of the other rooms. When I asked the desk for bottled water, they told me that the tap water was safe to drink, and there were 70+ stairs up to the room to lug bottled water; it did say “no lift” when I made the reservation. It was also fortunate for me that another guest offered to take my suitcase down for check out because there was no staff present at 9am when they said they would be there. Sorry, just can’t give it a thumbs up despite the great location.

We really liked staying here! The location was perfect, only a ten minute walk from the train station and right next to the Duomo! Our room was clean and had an air conditioner. We had a private bathroom that was down the hallway which was totally fine with us. It did get a bit loud with the bells and all the people in the square but that was expected and not as bad as we thought it would be. Would definitely recommend staying here!
