A/C was working well! We were in what they call an apartment across the street. It was spacious with a kitchenette, large bathroom and bedroom without windows. It’s very colonial looking from the outside. Very noisy during the day, but quiet at night. You can use the pool in the hotel across the street. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was fine. Great little place on the island of Flores.

Hotel is old, but nice. Great location and pool. Only complaint would be the chairs around the pool are not in proper condition.

Great hotel, staff, and dining. Central location on the malecón. Well equipped for extreme heat. My favorite of all the places we stayed throughout Guatemala.

Enjoyed my stay here. I ended up in an alert ent across the street which I initially wasn’t to happy about but it turned out be the best option. No view of the lake but very quiet and cool (temp) apartment with a little kitchen to make your own meals if you want. A better a Option than staying in the hotel which is very noisy with the other guests and music from the bar.

Great place to stay with the family. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Property was beautiful and clean. Definitely would stay here again!

So so
The apartments in front of the hotel are well equipped and just refurbished, but they are all on a road which is incredibly noisy. You need high quality ear plugs if you want to sleep. The service is so so and the front desk has a cold, industrial, flavour.

Great hotel but slightly small rooms
Pool area was nice. Food was nice. Service was good. Rooms are small and lacking fridge. Location is great.

It's on the waterfront so great view in the morning having their free breakfast...they do someone who speaks English on the front desk. I was charged $14 on check in and they couldn't tell me what it was for or it seemed like what she was saying.

An older property, but quite charming, and right on the lake. The rooms were quite adequate, and the staff super helpful. There is a loud bar right next door, so make sure you have tight earplugs! There's no elevator. The breakfast was superb.

El alojamiento está muy bien. Lo que debían mejorar son los baños, pero eso es algo que ocurre en todos los hoteles de Guatemala. El personal muy amable, pese a salir antes de la hora del desayuno se esforzaron por preparárnoslo antes de las 6:30.

I have been staying at the Casona de la Isla for several years now and have usually stayed in the main hotel. In the main hotel the rooms are small but sufficient and the prices are reasonable. This time they put me in the apartments across the street which are spacious and brighter. I recommend them as an option. One of my favorite things about the hotel is the bar restaurant area overlooking the lake where we usually eat breakfast. There is a great view in the morning and some spectacular sunsets over the lake in the afternoon. The staff are friendly and accomodating. I recommend the hotel. I am usually there once or twice a year.

They were very nice. The property is clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice view of Santa Barbara island. I like the smell of their soap too. The wifi works, and the breakfast was delicious. They let me drop off bags since I arrived before check in & let me leave bags on day of check out until I went to the airport, so I was much freer to walk around.

This was like an apartment, with kitchen and living room, air conditioned, and TV. Restaurant overlooking the lake makes it very relaxing. All employees were very nice all the time. Would visit and stay again.

This place is so special. It has heart. The location is perfectly situated on the water so you get a stunning view. The property is very well maintained and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was so fresh and delicious and the towel art!!! OMG! I was blown away every time my room was cleaned. So grateful for such a lovely stay!
