I thoght i had pay for a room with view to the lake but they only use the pics to advertise the hotel and they were exchanging the usd to 9 quetzales for each usd so that was not very honest because in the guatemalan bank exchange rate is 7.8 to one.

Attention owner of the hotel: Overall good. But needs some polishing. The hotel is nice but has some issues. First of all, the checkin was smooth, staff courteous. But there was no-one to help with bags and settle us into our room. This is strange for a nice hotel, or any hotel. The restaurant is fine. The food was very good. The staff was attentive and courteous. The rooms are nice enough. Very boutique hotel. I love the private balcony overlooking the lake. The rooms do the basics well. The water was hot and the shower was spacious and nice. The rooms are strange. We decided they must have been designed by men with no architect. They are have a chic look, but man they lack comforts. For example, the beds are advertised as queens. They are not queens. They are doubles. There's little storage or surfaces for your items. Fortunately, there are 2 small closets which is a plus. Coffee pods in the room are only provided on the first day. Nice touch, but we stayed 3 nights. We requested refill on pods. We were denied. Coffee only for check-in. Towel racks don't hold towels, wash basin is awkwardly situated and wood base is a poor material choice because it will stay wet. There's not enough counter space in the "bathroom". There's no changing area, so people traveling together will not have privacy. The toilet lacks a fan and the toilet chamber is super-echoey. The glass on the balcony should be 1-way so that people on the deck below can't see you on your balcony.

Good morning, we are very sorry for the inconvenience of the electrical energy, the outages were in the entire central area of the department, due to problems of the electrical company, something that is beyond our control.

The room was not properly cleaned each day. Trash was not removed and ran out of toilet paper. The pool was not open due to construction which was Never mentioned and very disappointed with not being able to take a dip. This place has amazing potential but poorly managed and maintained. The view spectacular.

Habitacion con aire aconficionada, limpia y agradable. La piscina estaba fuera de servicio, no habia desayuno porque el restaurante pertenecia a otra administracion. El personal del hotel es muy amable y servicial.

The hotel has a great view of the lake, we stayed in one of the lake view rooms. Facility wifi was down, only working in the lobby on the ground floor. Cable was very statiky.

We are a couple and we personally went to the hotel a few days prior to request a specific room, and the front desk agent agreed and confirmed it. Upon arrival we were given a different room that did not even have a Queen bed, but two single beds. We asked for a late check out for the inconvenience and even that was hard to negotiate with the front desk agent who was not empathetic or flexible. On the plus side, it does have a pool and a good view from the pool. I would not stay here again.

great view and staff
The hotel was in a great location. the views were wonderful. Very lucky to be on the top floor and had amazing views. the restaurant next door was delicious. we didn't get in the pool, but it looked very clean. There are men offering boat rides right behind the hotel and it was very affordable. probably the more affordable ones we encountered compared to the rest of the island. Our driver was Chuy, and he was very knowledgeable. Hotel staff was very friendly. However, the rooms were a little dingy and old. But considering that we didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms and it was such an affordable rate, overall it was a great stay.

The staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful. The property is basic but comfortable and very clean and perfectly situated on the lake. It suited our needs perfectly

It's on par with a bad Super 8 in the US. The air-conditioner didn't work. The pictures online are, I feel, very deceptive.

This hotel is well located. Lot of restaurants around. The front desk staff are very friendly, special thanks to May, she took care of all our request patiently and accurately. Great customer service. The Hotels has great views to the lake and sunset on the higher floors. The only down part was the internet, it is very very slow, it should be improved asap. The sharpness of the television is bad, I felt like watching TV when I was a kid that I had to move the exterior antenna to remove the pixelated images lol. Good think that the purpose of my visit was to watch TV... Last comment, the bathrooms that face the hallways, should have a darker curtains or frosted windows for privacy, at night if the light is on, people can see everything through. In General, we love this hotel!

Conveniently located, clean, and super comfortable bed. I stayed in room 401, which had an amazing panoramic view of the lake. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Decent place for the price
I arrived late, didn’t have a sim, could not notify them, I felt bad as I had to wake the guy up to let me in, decent place, nice restaurant behind the hotel, just down the alley facing the lake... staff were helpful

Simple, old fashioned, clean, local- fav for 20yrs
I have been coming here for two decades. It is simple, no elevator, locally run with great local contacts for boats and cars. On the lake with a grand view, a clean, nice small pool, a lakeside bar with nice drinks and food. It is unpretentious. Used by guatemalans and belizeans, it is a nice escape from the youthful backpacker tourists. It lacks carpets, a must in the tropics for keeping rooms mold free. The aircon works and the showers are hot. I love this place.
