Top Folly Beach Hotel Reviews
Tides Folly Beach, Charleston's Oceanfront Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"It was all very good. The weather was perfect, and so was the ocean. The staff was, again, doing what they were supposed to without having to be prompted. The bar menu could be a little more inclusive of vegetarian options. Since the hotel was remodeled, there are no longer bathtubs in any of the rooms. Just showers. There is no exercise room. Perhaps consider turning the exercise room into a self serve dog wash station. It would be great since the dogs tend to get dirty on the beach. I did go offsite to bathe my dog. However, why not make it possible to do it onsite? The chair rental company in front of the hotel (which gouges in pricing to rent) was now moving the rentals to the edge of the beach too close to where the tide comes in. This was also the area where the packed and more walkable sand is. The hotel is not in charge of this. It made it inconvenient to walk along the beach. The hotel does offer free beach chairs to customers, which is great."
Water's Edge Inn - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"Our view was amazing, we were a very short walk from the beach (and an even shorter walk to the shops on main), and our hosts had many amenities we didn’t even know about from the booking. They provided happy hour drinks, fresh breakfast, free water bottles, and even golf cart rides to and from the beach. They were also incredibly kind and helpful any time we had questions. I wouldn’t change a single thing about our stay and will be coming back here next time I and my wife plan on coming back to Charleston."

"Beautiful property over looking the marsh. Great breakfast & happy hour. We enjoyed the quiet side of the island"
Beachside Boutique Inn – Folly Beach Rooms & Private Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Our trip was last minute and with my dog, and I was lucky enough to run across Boutique. The price is very reasonable for the location, especially for last minute and dog friendly. Rustic, charming B&B cottage two streets from Folly Beach. We stayed in the Little Annie room in the main building. Perfect for two and a dog. We even managed to fit the dog crate! Surprisingly quiet for a beach hotel in a holiday week, and no noise even from the other guests. Kat greeted us when we checked in. Super friendly and very casual vibe. The bed was incredibly comfy. Information provided with signage on all the various things like WiFi and the neighborhood. Adorable little tiki bar in the courtyard. This place would be perfect to rent for a group. Continental breakfast with danish, fruit, bagels, oatmeal, the standard. A Keurig with an huge variety of coffee, and the paper to read while you eat. Centrally located in the neighborhood and one street over from the pier. Tons of good, casual beach eating you can walk to if you don’t feel like driving to Charleston. Beach chairs and towels provided! Literally the only cons were the entrance steps being a little difficult for older folks with heavy luggage, and the mosquitoes, but Laura provides Off repellent for each room. They might consider fans for the outdoor areas, but otherwise that’s it. No other cons. We’ll definitely visit again!"
