Grade I listed. The church dates from the 13th century when the nave and chancel were built. In the 14th century the west tower and south porch were added. The nave roof dates from the late 14th, early 15th century, with a 19th century copy in the chancel. The tower has six bells dating from the 18th C. and a Sanctus bell from the mid 17th century. The tower may once have had an octagonal spire. The font dates from the 14th century and is decagonal. It also has the largest bowl in Herefordshire. In 1673 the east wall of the chancel was rebuilt and the stained glass in the east window replaced. The 17th century also saw the installation of a six sided pulpit, communion rail, the screen, and stalls in the chancel. The church was restored in 1863 when the current pews and organ were installed. The church contains several monuments to the Abrahall family. There is also a 13th C. effigy and an altar tomb to Sir Hugh Waterton from the late 14th C. The churchyard enjoys spectacular views across the Wye Valley.

Good location but bathroom needs a clean
Great central location, easy parking and spacious airy accomodation with kitchen and dining area. However, the bathroom was a bit grubby and in need of a deep clean. The extractor fan had a build up of dust and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long while.

Overall a nice stay. Outside a little off-putting but inside really nice. Notices re heating etc very useful. Most generally good but blinds don’t work very well and that toilet really does need mending very soon - as a female I was hit in the back by the toilet lid several times! Nice and close ...
