"If you want to visit the city itself it is quite a drive. Sadly the hotel does not provide any to go cups at all which is quite strange. Like many hotels in Europe the breakfast is overpriced so we opted out cause it is not worth paying 25 Euros per person. Even kids do not eat for free so 7 Euros per child, I have 4 and 6 year old and they would never eat 7 Euros worth of breakfast. Parking is overpricing on the premises of the hotel 20 Euros per night so quite steep, for two days we paid 40 Euros an unexpected expense. Coffee in the room is good but no real creamer so just the dry stuff which is horrible especially for the hotel this level. If you want to go to the North Sea the hotel does not provide the beach towels, which was somewhat of a surprise to us since it is just a twenty-minute drive. We presumed that the people who stay at this hotel come not just to see the city but go to the beach as well."

"We stayed during Amsterdam Pride during July/August 2026 and also coincided with the Haarlem Culinare food festival. The hotel is in a nice and quiet location minutes walk from the train station allowing easy access to the airport, Amsterdam centraal, and other cities in the Netherlands. The building is a lovely old school house. Pleasant smell on entry, You do need to walk up stairs to rooms, and our Room 206 was at the top of the building. The room itself was large, with a very comfortable oversized bed. The air conditioning was fantastic during a heat wave. Large rain headed shower. Velux windows with black out blinds. Kettle with tea and coffee. We didn't pay as part of our booking for a breakfast. But on the final morning we opted for hotel breakfast rather than eating in Haarlem or Amsterdam. The offerings while tasty, were limited in variety and size."

"Very friendly and welcome hotel to have a short or longer stay. Love that staff remembers you from day to day. Also that the same staff we keep seeing every year. The front office tries to really think with you in what you needs. And gives services with a smile!"

"Lovely clean and comfortable hotel within walking distance of everything! Near the train station, which is helpful. Our only issue was with the air conditioning. No one told us that it is necessary to push a power button each time upon entering the room. We just assumed our room was hot because the building was old, so we were pretty uncomfortable. We didn't discover until we were leaving what the issue was with our a.c. It would have been a perfect stay had we been told the trick with the a.c. Excellent breakfast available."
