For the price that I paid - I expected a much nicer hotel. The hotel has an excellent view of the Caribbean sea, however it is in a very desolate area. it also has easy access to the beaches. When the cruise ships aren't in - there aren't too many businesses open for business. It is good for walking to places, during the day, but not sure how safe it is at night. I saw a lot of homeless people around. The area has yet to recover after the 2017 hurricanes. One day we didn't have hot water for our showers. Not sure that there are too many better hotels in this area. But we were disappointed. The staff overall was very friendly and helpful - but the area has some issues.

The staff was very nice and sweet accommodating!! One of the best parts was sitting on the balcony right in front of the ocean!

Our cancelled flight caused out to seek out last minute lodging on St. Croix. We were able to book a last minute room at the Frederiksted Hotel for the night. Checked in and within minutes had our room and were off to dinner down the street. Great location for access to all Frederiksted has to offer including the pier, shopping and dining.

A quick Birthday getaway
Overall it was a good stay. It was very close to the beach and nightlife. The room could have been cleaner. I didn't like the bathroom at all. I did buy some cleaning supplies and cleaned a few areas myself. My husband said the bed wasn't comfortable but it worked for our 2 night stay. The staff was really nice and helpful. I would stay again and recommend to others.

Thank you so much for your review. We take them with full heart. Some of our bathrooms are a little dated so I can understand why you wouldn't like it. We have new owners and that is definitely on the list of changing of our 54 year old gem. We will definitely make sure when you come back to see what type of mattress your husband prefers so he gets the best rest! Hope to see you in the future so you can see all the changes!

The Frederiksted Hotel building and our room was sparkling clean, comfortable, smelled wonderful, and we found ourselves refering to it as home. The staff were exceptionably helpful, kind, polite and knowledgeable. They were well informed about the area, and able to answer any question we had about the best places to go, shop or see and activities to do. We can't wait to go back!

Checkin with Roxy was very nice, very informative. We have mutual friends as I lived on STX for16 yrs. Stayed “West” because our son has a business there. However, after a few days we inquired about the ice machine . There isn’t one???? In a hotel? Room was clean. Only a bed and small nightstand. No safe. No desk. No chair. Bare minimum for a maximum price. Never again.

The staff are very warm and welcoming! Mrs. Veronica and the entire team (cleaning and security) went above our expectations to make my family and I feel at home! The room is exceptionally clean and comfortable with nice decor!! Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting in the area. The view from our room is beautiful!

For an older hotel, this has been renovated nicely but it is the staff that make this place so exceptional. Genuinely friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and kind, everyone goes above and beyond expectations. Roxy was particularly helpful, witty and insightful. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The ceiling fan was not working but the gave me another fan. Older building but nice. The sea view from the balcony was beautiful.

The room that was issued me has a shattered sliding door. Although the glass was taped, i didn't feel comfortable there, so my request to switch to another room was granted.

Our apologies again and thank you for your patience. We are in the process of replacing that piece. The island doesn't supply it and have to wait for that special glass from the states. It's been a process!

I have used this property many times and it always works fine for me. Clean rooms with air conditioning and comfortable beds. The courtyard breakfast is always a bonus. Wish there was an food option on site in the afternoon. Much like a late evening happy hour with bites
