“This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. So many handmade items included in your stay and available to purchase. The host is amazing, super friendly and laid back. The grounds were beautiful, unique and has so much character. We stayed here for a night after taking the train into Pochino and it was one of the...

“Unfortunately there had been a storm and the hotel was without a restaurant or bar, and in recovery mode. However, the receptionist was very helpful. The hotel itself is a stunner.”

“Amazing 3 night stay here with the family. Beautiful property. Exceptional service and great food. Highly recommend!”

“Our stay at Casa do Rio was exceptional. There are 10 rooms with stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and we were welcomed with a plate of fresh figs and white port and all ingredients to make portonics. The grounds are lovely with an infinity pool overlooking the river and two semi private fresh water dunking pools. The food and was outstanding! We made our dinner selections earlier in the day and were treated to an exquisite...

“Tudo perfeito dos melhores sítios que já visitei 🙌”

“Tudo optimo Simpatia da recepção ”

“The property is extraordinary. The rooms are large, comfortable, and very tastefully decorated. The view of the Duoro Valley from our room and from the entire property really are magical. It would be hard to imagine a more beautiful setting. The common kitchen, with Honor Bar, is a great convenience. The dining room is tastefully austere ( some quiet background music would warm things up). Throughout the property are many comfortable private areas to relax both inside and out. The beautiful...

“Our stay at Quinta de la Rosa was absolutely wonderful! The beautiful views everywhere you turn, the delicious locally inspired continental breakfast, and Patricia’s fantastic tasting tour made the experience truly special. Dinner each night was a culinary joy with the knowledgeable wait-staff. Everything was charming, welcoming, and memorable - a perfect blend of tradition and modern. A genuine gem in the Douro Valley that we would happily recommend and return to!”

“Un hotel boutique con excelentes servicios. La construcción es nueva aunque guarda un estilo clásico. Su personal es muy capacitado y extremadamente amable.”

“Notre séjour s’est bien déroulé. La chambre était propre et l’hôtel est très bien située. Le personnel d’accueil était vraiment gentil et courtois . Nous étions entre 2 saisons et l’air climatisé avait fait place au chauffage et l’air climatisé aurait été la bien venue. Dans le l’ensemble un excellent endroit”

“The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. One of the things I enjoyed most was its location among the vineyards. Stepping outside and walking through the surrounding area offered beautiful views of the Douro landscape and made for a truly relaxing experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food was also excellent. Everything exceeded my expectations. If I could give this hotel 8 stars out of 5, I would. I would...

“Such a beautiful and quiet place! The staff were wonderful and helpful. Supper was delicious local specialties. Breakfast was great with custom eggs and lots of selection. Their wine is excellent! We would totally recommend staying at this small, family run Quinta.”
