"We attended a concert in nearby Shipshewana IN, and looked for a more budget friendly hotel than those offered in Shipshewana. Reviews indicated this Best Western was a good choice - and it was! The room was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly, and the Continental breakfast was good (4 kinds of dry cereal, a waffle maker, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, and 2 kinds of bottled juice). At $40 cheaper than the Shipshewana hotels, it was a no brainer. We'll stay here again!"

"Great place to go. Needs some repairs in the pool area. But that would not change my mind about going there. We love the Essenhaus. Breakfast is better than any hotels breakfast. The staff are sweet people. Highly recommend "

"It was a rocky start. We checked in pretty late and the hotel manager was having a hard time figuring out the payment issues Hotels.com was having with their hotel. Apparently, they couldnt process the payment so we were almost charged again for the room. She did recover and just gave us the keys and told us theyd figure it out later. The room was nice but the mattress was very uncomfortable. It also squeaked on any movement. We ask to have it replaced or a bed topper put on to no avail. Shower was great. Just hard to sleep."

"Most of the staff we encountered, in halls or at breakfast could not speak English. The lady at the front desk was only one who could understand English. Breakfast food was always running low or completely out, and staff couldn’t understand when asked about the foods,"

"Rooms are micro, but you get what you paid for. Price was great, area seemed safe, access to lots of stores, parking lot was fine, lighted well. The ac struggles. Shower was fine, good water pressure etc. fine place to stay when just lass"

"Me and my wife booked this hotel for one night just to get out of the house and relax and swim. We got to the hotel and the pool was dirty with hair floating in the pool. I fished all of it out with the net they had at the pool and there was a slimy film on top of the whole pool. Nothing was clean in the pool area. We couldn’t even swim if I could put photos on here I would do not recommend this hotel."
