Amazing apartment, great view, really quiet, nice staff. Taxi between hotel and airport costs around 80-100 EUR. Supermarket is a 15/20 minute walk. Nice, quiet beach and nice beach bar less than a 10 minute walk. Keep in mind: Spa only opens 4h/day, for individual use of 2h. Can only be booked on arrival (no booking in advance). This means only two people/rooms can book for any given day for a 2h block. 99% chance it'll be already fully booked for the majority of your stay once you arrive. The hotel across the road has spa treatments, but sadly no day access to spa. There's no pool side bar. Bar only opens when restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.

It was the perfect place for a quiet relaxing break, walking distance from 3 beautiful beaches, a lovely beach restaurant very close and more on Costa Calma beach 10 mins walk away. The property was clean, spacious and fully equipped for self catering. I’d recommend a car if you want to see more of the island. Lots of parking at the hotel.

Costa Calma Stay

Just back after a stay in the Esmerelda Maris. Great spacious apartments very close to the beaches (250M). All the apartments are similar in size with full cook facilities except oven which was not missed. Front a back terrace space of great size. Sun most of the day as most of the apartments are pretty much south-facing with sea view. All at the apartments were friendly and helpful. We took the half board option and if we returned would take breakfast only. Food was adequate and unrestricted but times were limited with restaurant closed at 9pm which for holiday is quite early. The location of the hotel is a good distance from the centre and transport is recommended as there is no shuttle service. The centre has a small shop which was empty and closed which is a shame as between breakfast and dinner there is no option for snacks especially if you are by the pool. Drinks are expensive with small water €3.20 or a bottle of house red €17.50. All drinks are only paid at the end of the stay. Must say the lady cleaner on our area works hard and did a great job bushing a seriously overloaded trolly on inclines of +15% in high heat. Overall lovely place to stay and would return. Beaches in the area are fantastic with crystal clear water and fantastic turquoise colours. Beaches are clothing optional but not intrusive. Check out the beach restaurant near Esmarelda Beach, really worth a visit.

We have really liked the apartment. Breakfast options were ok, but always had to wait for refills of juices and pastry and not everyone was nice. The pool was dirty. The washing machine in the laundry was a very old one and crazy expensive.

Just spent 4 nights and had a wonderful stay at Esmerelda Maris. Great location – easy parking (being at the end of a line of hotels) and beautiful soft sandy beaches with crystal clear water within 6-8 minutes walk (off road / rough path so some footwear required). Opportunity for lovely coastal walks and fantastic panoramic views from nearby hills if desired. A big thanks to Ingrid at reception was very warm, friendly and always helpful. The whole hotel has been recently renovated – it felt new. Well designed and soundproofed, as well as spacious apartments. Spotlessly clean and lots of storage. Kitchen was also reasonably well equipped (only 3 of each piece of crockery but not an issue) and glad they provide a new washing-up sponge, soap, wiping cloth etc. Communal areas are well maintained. Swimming pool was actually heated to a warm temperature (rare!) – perhaps about 23-24 degrees – very comfortable even in the cooler February evenings. Wifi was decent and free for 5 devices per room, especially in the living area – speeds of 10-20 Mbps upload and download. Highly recommended and hope to return again!

Chambre spacieuse, propre, bien équipée. Hôtel bien placé à 5mn de la mer. Personnel très froid et peu enthousiaste. Le coffre dans la chambre et le changement de serviette de piscine sont payants. c’est mesquin.

Wir waren zu dritt eine Woche in der Anlage. Das Appartement war sauber und schön! Leider war in der Küche alles abgezählt und keine Spülmaschine vorhanden! Für 4 Sterne eigentlich Standard. Auf der Terrasse waren 2 Liegen und Stühle. Haben beim netten Mann an der Rezeption um eine weitere Liege + Stuhl gebeten. Er hat es sich notiert und dabei blieb es dann leider erstmal auch! Am letzten Tag wurde sie dann gebracht! Zu spät! Von den 4 Kochfeldern funktionierten nur 2. Haben uns perfekt selber verpflegt! In 1 Km Entfernung ist ein Spar Markt! Für eine Woche haben wir ca 250 Euro ausgegeben. Frühstück und Abendessen hätten uns in der Anlage für 3 Personen 840 Euro gekostet! So hatten wir alles was für uns wichtig war. Tolles Angebot. Der Pool dient wohl leider zur Dekoration. Er ist nur 1,20 Meter tief und eiskalt! Ein Whirlpool wäre toll gewesen! Gab es aber nicht! Im Fitnessstudio haben sich die Geräte nicht mit dem Internet verbunden! Sehr schade! Das W-LAN funktionierte überall nur sporadisch! Auch sehr schade! Die Insel ist für Ihren Wind bekannt! Ich habe es allerdings unterschätzt! War zum zweiten Mal auf Fuerteventura! Aber kein Tag ohne heftigen Wind nervte schon sehr! Am wunderschönen Strand hat man es nicht länger als 1 Stunde ausgehalten! Dann war man komplett fertig! Der Sand peitscht wie kleine Nadelstiche einem um die Ohren! Habe mir direkt eine Erkältung eingefangen und lag 2 Tage flach! Es wird leider kein drittens mal geben auf der Insel.

Frühstück könnte abwechslungsreicher sein, Parkplatz Situation war nicht gut, Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ist jedoch ein paar Mal ohne anklopfen ins Zimmer geplatzt. Ansonsten entspricht das Hotel voll und ganz den Bildern und Beschreibungen des Inserates. Hatten zu zweit eine Junior Suite und waren überrascht wie groß diese war. Außerdem war sie sehr hell und modern eingerichtet

Piacevole soggiorno

Nel complesso il soggiorno è stato molto piacevole, l'ambiente pulito e confortevole. Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima vacanza. Mi permetto di segnalare l'impossibilità all'utilizzo del wifi nell'appartamento in cui abbiamo soggiornato (cosa non rispondente alle caratteristiche dichiarate). Personale molto gentile e disponibile.

Eine sehr gute übersichtliche Hotelanlage. Für ruhesuchende der perfekte Ort. Keine Dauerbeschallung am Pool, aufdringliche Animateure.Sehr gute Strände in der Nähe sind fußläufig erreichbar.Wir hatten eine sehr geräumige Suite mit HP und Meerblick. Das gesammte Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insbesondere möchten wir uns bei Miguel bedanken. Immer ein freundliches Lächen trotz des stressigen Jobs." Muchas Gracias Miguel". Auch das Abendessen ist ein highlight. Es wird live und frisch gegrillt . Auch ein Dank an Anja an der Rezeption.

Das Hotel Esmeralda ist ruhig gelegen. Die Suiten sein sehr geräumig und lassen sehr viel Raum zum Wohlfühlen. Mit ein paar Bildern an der wand wäre die Unterkunft noch gemütlicher. Das Essen war im ruhigen Restaurant stets frisch zubereitet und schmackhaft. Durch das große Buffet fällt die Wahl sehr leicht auf die Dinge , die einem schmecken. Außerdem werden Fisch und Fleisch am Open Coocking Desk nach Wahl immer frisch zubereitet. Die Krone ist das Personal, das immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend ist.
