APA hotels provide generally the same standard room everywhere. It is clean, conveniently organized, comfortable, reasonably priced and well located (they are everywhere). This APA hotel Hakata Gion Ekimae is among the medium-sized ones and does not offer a onsen (public bath). The Japanese breakfast available for a fee is a bit expensive but really representative of real Japanese breakfasts. I appreciated and used the laundry, conveniently located on the ground floor.

Here’s a quick, ready-to-post review you can copy: Stayed at a quaint hotel in Fukuoka and had an awesome stay overall. The room was spotlessly clean, the pillows were excellent, and I slept really well. Staff were friendly and kind the whole time. The only issue was breakfast. It was a traditional Japanese-style meal I wasn’t familiar with — I ended up with a raw egg and cold noodles and honestly wasn’t sure what to do with it. If you’re not used to that style of breakfast, ask the staff ahead of time so you know how it’s meant to be eaten (or whether a Western option is available). Other than that, it was a great stay and I’d happily go back.

I had a wonderful stay at APA hotel in Gion Fukuoka. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, with a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a long day. I would gladly stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent hospitality.

Gion subway station 50 feet from the front door is what sells this property for me along with the Lawsons directly adjacent. Rooms are conventionally small, no surprise, but the WiFi is the worst I've experienced at an APA. Breakfast is good value for the business traveler.

Very convenient hotel, a few minutes walk from the subway and close to the Senso-ji temple. Nice, quiet area with great dining options. APA hotels have small rooms, which was expected but they are very clean and efficient. Breakfast is fast and tasty - worth the price. Staff was nice and helpful. Would book again.

This location was ideal. Transportation all around me. Walkable to Hakata train station. Subway near by. Lawson s right around the corner. Quiet location with lots of dining options close by. I recommend this place also as a solo female traveler. Felt very safe.
