All front desk, restaurant and house keeping staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of cooked dishes, cereal, fruit baked goods etc... Location is good - 10 minutes by bus to Old Funchal.

Lovely lovely stay! Great location with lots of great restaurants around! Staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was full of variety and even some fizz included. Really nice touches like sweets in the lobby and places to refill water bottle. Gym and sauna area also great and could make a tea in there after along with the rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Staff around cleaning all day - well maintained. Would stay again and recommend!

Overall good stay, great location, very walkable and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Great breakfast with a lot of options. The outdoor poor was quite nice, the spa area was a bit outdated. The rooms were quite small and very loud, every time someone on your floor opened or closed a door you would hear about it, so not the best for light sleepers.

Right from check in to check out, everything was fantastic! The staff, especially, Nadia were friendly and very helpful. We had made a decision to arrive 3 days early to Madeira and when we arrived, our driver (booked by the hotel) was waiting at the airport, check in was seamless and we were able to upgrade our first 2 nights in order to stay in our room for the full 5 nights. Location was perfect, lots of dining/entertainment options within steps. And downtown Funchal is about a 40 min walk but well worth it. We used Uber as well a few times. Nadia went above and beyond - we were on our way out to dinner on Saturday evening and asked about renting a car the next day and when we got back, everything was arranged for us for the next morning. The breakfast buffet was great, usually busiest between 915-945 but they were still adding fresh and hot items each day just before 10am. Many options! The rooftop bar was fabulous for a sunset cocktail - bartender was awesome! The pool area is lovely but it was too windy/chilly for us to use it. We also didn't take advantage of the spa. Top notch service and comfortable beds!

We enjoyed our stay with Allegro Madeira. The location is a short walk to a beautiful view of the ocean. There is plenty of parking on-site and nearby. While there, our room was very well organized and clean. I loved the gym and wellness options! And the pool was so relaxing! We enjoyed the terrace on our room a lot! Breakfast at Allegro Madeira was phenomenal - we loved the buffet set up and the grill for omelettes and eggs! The nespresso lattes were also a favorite! The value for price received was great! The rooftop bar for a sunset drink is a must!

Great location, super nice staff, comfortable rooms and good varied buffet breakfast only down side was that the room with ocean view did not have much of a view at all. It was in a lateral at the back and you could only see a little patch in the distance. Not what I was expecting when I booked room with an ocean view.

Very clean hotel with bus stop to Funchal Central close by. However if you are unfit, I would not recommend as there is a steep slope to the bus stop. Staff all very friendly. Optional dinner on the whole very good. Avoid 9 am for breakfast as it can be rather hectic.
