“The location and views were amazing, but unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. There was an overwhelming smell of vinegar in the room, and the patio was covered in ants, which really detracted from the experience. We were also shocked to discover that pool towels cost €10. Charging guests extra for something as basic as a pool towel feels unreasonable and left a poor impression. We can’t comment on the breakfast itself, as we had to check out before 7 a.m. We did,...

“L’hôtel est très bien située, le rooftop avec le restaurant et la piscine sont appréciés. Le petit déjeuner est très varié et très bon. La boîte à petit déjeuner lorsqu’on doit quitter tôt est bienvenue mais elle pourrait être améliorée: un croissant au lieu du pain blanc tranche.”

“Lovely hotel, great facilities and best location, easy access to both Funchal town and the Lido area. Spotlessly clean and pool area beautiful. Staff super helpful, basic room and balcony very good. Would definitely stay again.”

“Clean, spacious, close to stores and restaurants.”

“The hotel is centrally located in Funchal close to the mall, grocery store and the boardwalk. The kitchen is great with a full fridge to store snacks and water. The restaurant downstairs offer a fantastic lunch for great price of 12 euro. The included breakfast is awesome with a great al la carte section breads, cheese and fruit. All staff was great but Kaitalin was fabulous and created a beautiful driving tour for us along the coastline!”

“Lovely room, excellent views, well positioned, helpful staff, great variety at breakfast.”

“Points positifs : Hébergement très bien situé très central, Petit déjeuner varié, Chambre grande. Points négatifs : Environnement très bruyant (boîte de nuit, chanteur de rue) malgré le double vitrage, Lampaire situe sous la fenêtre qui éclair la chambre toute la nuit, Matelas dur + les ressorts très présents. On a mis la couette en guise de sur matelas 😬”

“smells a bit weird in the room but has a great view and amazing location, nice staff, super fast wifi.”

“We had a wonderful stay.”

“Good location, we walked into town a few times or a short bus/taxi ride. Bus right outside the hotel including the airport bus. Really good breakfast, some more vegetarian options would be great. Staff especially reception staff were really helpful. Didn't like: upgrading to partial sea view was disappointing.”

“Good location and very clean.”

“The hotel has a great location next to the Cathedral. Only problem is that it’s hard to get to with luggage, since cars & taxis can not get to the entrance. All the employees were helpful, talkative, and enjoyable. The free breakfast has a huge assortment of goodies and even hot items.. The one problem I do want to address is parking your car. When I reserved, it said parking available.. For some reason, I expected it nearby and free. The parking lot is a good 15 minutes walk from the hotel....
