"We had a great stay here. The views are simply amazing and the pool area is lovely to pass a relaxing few hours. We thoroughly recommend staying at Villa La Ventana for a wonderful place to explore both the Amalfi coast and Sorrento peninsula. You need a car to make the most of the location but well worth being away from the main tourist hustle & bustle. A friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay at this family-owned establishment from the three brothers who between them offer...

"This was a perfect location for people who don’t want to stay in the touristy parts of Amalfi. It is only a bus ride away from Positano & Amalfi. The room was very clean and big, with ac & tv. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea and a private terrace. There was a heated pool and hot tub that was rarely used so we had it to ourselves. Each morning, a lovely breakfast buffet was prepared for us that was included with our stay. The staff was very helpful. When arriving, they met us with a car...

"Beautiful property overlooking the sea with views of Positano. Our room was very clean with our own small patio overlooking the sea. Breakfast was simple but fresh and served on the covered patio with beautiful views. Staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging shuttles for dinner at various restaurants. One day the weather was particularly cold and windy so we didn't plan any excursions. The staff invited us to have lunch on the grounds that day."

" I would recommend this hotel, but there are a few areas where improvement is needed.
The standout feature is definitely the location—it's hard to beat. The views from a beachfront room are stunning, and the rooftop is truly spectacular. The evening cocktails and snacks were a lovely touch and added to the overall experience. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay.
That said, the rooms are quite outdated, with older furniture that could use refreshing. The walls are also very thin, which made it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms. While the bathrooms were clean, they are also dated and there was a noticeable sewage smell at times, which detracted from the overall comfort.
With some updates and attention to these issues, this hotel could offer an even better experience."
"The hotel and grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are well-appointed. The restaurants and bars on site make for a comfortable, convenient experience. The only drawback is the distance to the Sorrento city center, requiring a taxi back and forth. "
"We loved Hotel Angelina. A little ways from downtown Sorrento but the area was fabulous with quiet streets and great restaurants. The hotel staff was wonderful. "
"Stayed 24/04 to 01/05 2026
I think this is a great hotel right in the heart of Sorrento, so location is perfect. There is a short walk to the restaurants and shops, and the zig zag walkway to the beach.
On the approach the gardens are lovely and smelt like a florist at the end of April. The hotel has its own pool and Pool lounge bar, all lovely for relaxing.
Inside the reception area, it is very spacious and welcoming with the reception staff very pleasant, and helpful. Check in was very easy, nice after a long trip.
Suitcases were taken to our room by porter, which was also a nice touch.
The hotel has a traditional Italian feel; well decorated and tasteful items place around every corner.
The room we had was overlooking the pool, which was lovely during the day, but could get a bit noisy at night with the sound of the mopeds and people talking echoing around the large courtyard of hotels. If I went again, I would pay the extra for the sea, side of the hotel as it may well be a little quieter.
The room itself was clean practical and tidy, and the bed comfortable, with house maids making beds and changing towels daily.
The hotel overlooks the cliff to the sea, where an outside balcony lounge bar is a great place to sip your first holiday drink. The bar allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunsets this side of the hotel is lucky to receive.
The breakfast lounge is lovely with seating all along the window edge, looking out over the sea and beaches, with Mount Vesuvius in the backgr"
