This hotel is a real gem. Clean, stylish room (‘Longbotham’), friendly staff, great breakfast, lovely gardens. The official 2-star rating does it a huge disservice (I assume it’s based on amenities/facilities - this is a family run hotel in a listed building - I didn’t need pools and saunas!)

Nice to be in a hotel with some character rather than a typical out of a box hotel. Lovely room with modern shower and amenities. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

MAGICAL VENUE WITH HISTORIC INTEREST All wonderful. Dot is an amazing host. Our room & bathroom were "top notch". Extra interest as this premises was an "old Grammar School" dating back many years. Hence very quirky features including the old school bell, just outside our bedroom window. We were dining out but used "the bar" on our return . (I can recommend the lovely Rose blush wine!) Breakfast was superb too. We shall return.

No hot water, function room had an event and was noisy until late and right under the bedrooms, restaurant was booked out for the event, so no food on site. Room was freezing cold. Nice decor and garden, but basic bar area.

Comfortable Hotel with Restaurant /Good Food

This Hotel was a good place to stop over, handy for Blyton Park, and reasonably priced. We didn't have to go looking for somewhere to eat as they had there own restaurant on site offering good food - again at reasonable Prices.
