Gazzaniga, Lombardy hotel rooms at the Independent

"We had a standard double room, which was clean and modern. Had obviously been renovated relatively recently, all the fixings and fittings in excellent condition. The lights all linked to touchscreens located throughout the room. Powered shutters on the windows and AC which was effective. Complimentary water in the fridge, tea and instant coffee. As a vegan, the options at the breakfast buffet were limited to fruit, cereal + soy milk, bread + jam, some hot mixed veg, and a couple of sweet cakes. Tea/coffee/juice. The vegan things were labelled so that was nice. Very easy to get around, bus stops just across the street to the train station, airport etc. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would happily recommend."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had reasonable choice for a small-ish breakfast area but ran out of sine things (we were down towards end of breakfast times though). Room was ok but looked into a roof that covered a lot of the window so could not really see out. A few bits looking tired and need attention although bathroom was clean and modern looking. Great location for Bergamo station and Citta Bassa and buses ho right past hotel to Citta Alta (although not too long a walk either). "

"Our room was spacious and clean. We made use of the on-site parking and experienced no issues. Breakfast was OK - limited continental but good quality. Negronis in the bar were fantastic! "

"Excellent reception and restaurant staff. Fabulous extra large bed and the bus transfer was also a massive benefit with a friendly driver. Would recommend if you need to be close to the airport."

"Just right for a very late night arrival from the airport. Decided to walk from the airport as there was a long queue for taxis. Easy well lit walk at 2.30am, we were sent instructions on how to enter via a key safe - the video sent by the hotel made it super easy. Room was clean, comfy, nice bathroom and had kettle with tea and coffee. Hosts were lovely as was the breakfast, personally we couldn’t fault it. "
