This motel is an older facility, but it is well taken care of, and clean. The staff was polite and helped with every request we made. There are many places within walking distance along Steinwehr Ave.

The rooms where nasty, hair in the bath tub, stains on wall, chair had stains,head board, floors and toilet, I will never stay there again, I have never stayed any were as nasty as that motel is

Good place to stay!

Nice room looks as though it was recently updated. Good price for a small hotel in the historic district. In walking distance to the battlefield, museums, restaurants and bars. The Reliance is basically next door it is a bar you have to see! Only thing I would change is install a handicap grab bar in the shower.

Aré you kidding me?

Unfortunately it was filthy, even there are non smoking bedrooms it smells like cigarette everywhere. You can not advertice breakfast included when offer a cup of coffee and a muffin standing at the office. It Is a bad joke.

Would stay again

Room was what you would expect for the price. Smelled musty but overall was clean. Staff was pleasant when checking in and out. Hotel was near everything and I’d stay here again.

The hotel was right in the middle of town. It was ok not great. But for one night just to sleep it was fine. But there wasn't any water or soda machines on the property.

The Colton is a cheap clean hotel. No frills. Nothing special. But we stayed for 2 nights cheaper than one night anywhere else. The location is walking distance to the battlefield and any restaurant and bars you could want. We have used this hotel at least 10 times and will continue to do so from here on out

This us the first time I have ever given a negative review as it would be the worst motel ever. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would as it was so bad. The carpet was wet, dirty and smelly so the room had a terrible odor. The motel was full so there was nowhere for us to go. As I had to wash my blackened feet from the disgusting carpet several times, I then resorted to wearing shoes around the room. The toilet handle was broken and ran until you jiggled it. The window didn't close. The internet didn't work. When I complained to the staff, I was told in writing by the owner I would be reimbursed, but after several follow ups over several weeks, nothing happened. Do not stay here.

Good Place But Needs Better Internet

We had a wonderful time. It’s older and noting fancy but that’s ok. We’re only there to sleep. The beds are very comfortable. The only bad thing about it was the internet. It’s ok in some spots and nothing in other spots. They really need to boost the internet so all the rooms can get service. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Heavy smell of cigarette smell. Cobwebs in corners. Trash on floor. Food crumbs under bed and between night stands. AC unit dirty. Bathroom fan vent dirty.

Not the most “eye appealing” style rooms but there was just something cozy about the place. I absolutely would recommend this place to anyone. Don’t let the style deter you! Very clean inside the rooms and the desk was the most friendly people to deal with!

I stayed here two weekends in a row so that i could attend the National Apple Harvest Festival as a vendor both weekends. My stay was great both times. The staff is friendly, rooms were clean and smelled cleaned upon entering. I will definitely be back again.

Motel staff very friendly. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms a little run down, but for the price not a bad experience. Breakfast only coffee and a danish. Great location, able to walk to a lot of sites.

The attendant wasn’t present when we arrived. A “friend” at the property had to call him to come check us in. (He was quick to come..) The mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. The chair was cracked and taped!!! EVERYTHING needed updating. Yes, this was a cheap motel, but have a little pride in your property…
