โBare bones & no thrills here. Walls very dirty, bad renovations. Over all if you just need a hard bed to sleep on with no frills this is the place โ
โLiked that breakfast was included. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My kids even left their swim trunks and a charger and we were called and were able to go back and pick up.โ
โThis motel is on the main road (US-60 or Ash Street) but was quiet during the holiday period. It is ideally situated near Hill Street, which goes into the historic district less than a mile away. Fast food is nearby, as is hiking at Round Mountain Park. El Rey is a self-described "vintage motor court" so looks the part outside. But the interior room was large enough, the bed mostly comfortable, the spacious shower always had hot water, and the wall heater worked well, with the usual humming....
